02/09/2026: The phrase hidden gem is overused, but Bunna is it. Delightful, thoughtfully prepared and presented coffee, lovely food offerings, and a quirky, tiny location that makes you feel like you’re a member of a select club. So happy to have found it.

01/08/2026: An absolute highlight in Annecy – warm, queer-friendly, and fantastic! We spent a weekend in Annecy and were specifically looking for an open, queer-friendly restaurant – and with Chez Pen, we found an absolute gem! The combination of bar and restaurant is simply perfect. We felt incredibly comfortable from the very first moment. The connection with the owner was amazing; he treated us with such warmth and attentiveness. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the very next day before the Fête du Lac – and this second evening was even better! A huge thank you to the entire team for these unforgettable evenings.

09/07/2026: My Mom told me about this restaurant and five years after she ate here it is still just as delicious! Amazing quality of fresh food prepared like fine cuisine. Not at all expensive. Friendly, accommodating service. Eat here as often as you can in different seasons to enjoy the chef’s changing menu. The July 2026 menu features a tuna dish and an artichoke appetizer to try, the porc is fantastic too and served with the freshest peas we have ever eaten. Heavenly desserts too!

30/07/2026: We walked down from the chateau and happened to come across La Guinguette du Chateau. We asked if it was possible to have a drink, and the owner (bartender) who was working was very friendly to us and took an interest in where we came from. Speaking English was no problem, and we really thoroughly enjoyed our holiday feeling here. Thank you!

07/09/2026: Always top-notch! By far the most professional, friendly, and high-quality place for a good brunch, and also the quickest for a lunch break. They don't skimp on quantity or quality here. The dishes are real dishes, and the chairs are real chairs, not those weird, doll-like, or girly things like at other places (which keep popping up and closing one after another because they're so unprofessional, some are unfriendly, the servers are too slow and nonchalant, the prices are always higher for tiny portions, the bread is stale and the coffee is from the supermarket, there are little cushions you don't need, the decor is cheesy like Barbie, etc., etc., or the opening hours aren't always clear)... Whether you come to Slake regularly or not, they're always consistent and in a good mood. It's just a shame they got rid of the freshly squeezed orange juice machine... Luckily, they have other juices, like the super delicious Detox. Open kitchen and everything is practically made right before your eyes in real time. Women in the kitchen and guys serving, lol! Special mention for the trout pancake and the quality of the ingredients (even the egg is high-quality, locally sourced). They add a little cream, shallots, and just the right amount of seasoning. This is the place to go. It's best to make a reservation or leave your phone number so they can prepare a table for you and send you a text as soon as it's ready. The number of good, high-quality places of all styles in the center of Annecy is plummeting. When an establishment like Slake is approaching its 5th anniversary, you understand why and you highly recommend it (previously called "La Bicyclette Rose" and before that, "Barnabé"). See you soon!
