04/07/2026: The cuisine is described as "instinctive" and "made with love," and we were given a whole spiel about each dish, but ultimately we weren't won over. The portions were more suited to a 10-year-old, and unfortunately, we have a bit bigger appetites. There's nothing to criticize about the quality of the ingredients or the effort put in, but for the price, you can find more indulgent (especially desserts!) and generous options nearby. The atmosphere is rather cold, and the whole staff seems to think we'll find everything amazing. The waitress, however, was more natural and friendly.

18/07/2026: One of the best meals I've had in France! The tuna poke bowl was incredibly fresh, and the beef was excellent! Thank you to the whole team, and especially to Sophie for her warm welcome and attentive service. It's rare to find a restaurant experience of this caliber where everything is perfect from start to finish. We'll be back, and I highly recommend Le Bistrot du Rhône! Thanks again!

30/07/2026: We walked down from the chateau and happened to come across La Guinguette du Chateau. We asked if it was possible to have a drink, and the owner (bartender) who was working was very friendly to us and took an interest in where we came from. Speaking English was no problem, and we really thoroughly enjoyed our holiday feeling here. Thank you!

09/07/2026: My Mom told me about this restaurant and five years after she ate here it is still just as delicious! Amazing quality of fresh food prepared like fine cuisine. Not at all expensive. Friendly, accommodating service. Eat here as often as you can in different seasons to enjoy the chef’s changing menu. The July 2026 menu features a tuna dish and an artichoke appetizer to try, the porc is fantastic too and served with the freshest peas we have ever eaten. Heavenly desserts too!

09/07/2026: If you want to get away from the most touristy restaurants and instead eat somewhere where the locals also come, then this is a really good choice. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service and classic French dishes made with good ingredients. I chose calf's liver with parsley, served with salta and pasta. The liver was perfectly cooked, incredibly tender and full of flavor. A place with an authentic French atmosphere, good food and fair prices. Highly recommended if you want to experience local cuisine rather than a typical tourist restaurant. Dogs are welcome

15/05/2026: We had the pleasure of discovering this little restaurant, which we highly recommend. The food was excellent, the staff very pleasant and helpful, and the value for money was outstanding. Thank you for this lovely meal!

14/05/2026: We had a reservation for 12:00, but I contacted the restaurant to delay the time by 30 to 45 minutes. When I asked, the owner immediately replied that they only served until 12:45! I was already surprised! But it was the manner of service that surprised me even more! We were served by a young woman who did her job in an exemplary manner: courteous, calm, and professional, worthy of a restaurant manager! In my opinion, the owner is far too stressed and is rushing the service to finish quickly and close the lunch shift! What a shame! The food is good and well-presented! The prices are slightly high compared to the portion sizes! A quick and efficient service? A pity! The wines by the glass don't match the quality of the food, but the prices are outrageous!

11/07/2026: We arrived here without reservation and found a table. They have interesting choices in vegan food. The smoothies are amazing particularly. So we tried their burger and the menu with 2 options - Fritata and rice with seitan. The fritata tastes good but is a bit too dry without enough sauce, we were offered extra sauce by the kind waitress. The fritata is taste and goes well with the sauce they make. The rice is ok, it could be better. The burger was the best vegan burger. So well paired with everything that add to it. A bit on the oily side (even though it said dehydrated potato chip), but very tasty. The desserts are pleasant. We took the home made snickers bar and a crumble of apples and blue berries. We also took a smoothie with banana, coconut milk, peanuts, etc. It was perfect with just enough sugar. I felt we could go again to try their different options as they menu changes often. We enjoyed the food and it was value for money.
