Restaurant L'Hippocampe sur Roquebrune-Cap-Martin

Seaside location above a private beach (managed by the restaurant) with exceptional views of Menton. Decent meal with fresh, seasonal produce. It's a shame the menu isn't available online beforehand. Expect to pay around €50 per person including wine.

We had such an awesome time celebrating my husband‘s birthday. The staff really went all out to ensure that we had an awesome table with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea. They brought out one of their awesome enormous desserts, and we shared it with the six of us. The sparkler that they put on the dessert was a nice touch. I love the fact that this restaurant is family owned. This family really cares about their clientele. Their dishes and drinks are amazing. We’ve eaten here for lunch and dinner and both are quite good. The fish is light and flaky and cooked to perfection. It’s a great value and the quality of the food never changes. This restaurant is located in (Rory) France and is off the beaten path. I would venture to say mostly lovals frequent this cozy little find. They also have a really nice beach club with easy access into the Mediterranean Sea. The swimming is amazing here. One of the prettiest spots in the south of France. I almost hesitate to make this post because I don’t want this place to be overpopulated. But then again that’s being selfish because it’s such a great find!

Not bad, but could be better. The salad was simple and a bit stale, even for the end of service. The homemade dessert was good. The dated interior could use a refresh, especially the restrooms. Come on a sunny day to enjoy the superb view from the terrace.

Very good food and service. The place has spectacular views and a welcoming, friendly attitude.

Wonderful dinner with friends. Arrived right after a crazy Menton storm so the sea had waves crashing on rocks below & a comfortable sea breeze. We sat indoors with all the windows open & a fabulous view east. My fias either fennel was delicious. Others had lobster ravioli, steak au poivre and coq au vin. We would definitely go back 🥰

A very nice place. We were disappointed by the delicious rabbit terrine, but the small bones detracted from the enjoyment. The meringue tart was a huge disappointment. 😞 We would like to thank you for your gesture of goodwill.

A seaside restaurant with terraces equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas to spend moments of true relaxation with a wonderful view and a spectacular sea‼️ I would have liked to have dinner again, but exceptionally for dinner yesterday and today it was closed🤷🏼‍♀️they have excellent French cuisine‼️ What left me perplexed was the lack of attention in communicating when booking the beach service the closing time at 5.30 pm ... considering that the daily cost is not indifferent, even if largely justified by the location with normal opening hours‼️ What can I say... maybe it was a bad day🤣🥴‼️‼️

Absolutely fantastic. It couldn't be more perfect. After our delicious meal, we were even allowed to take a quick dip at the restaurant's private beach. So kind.

Stunning view and quality cuisine, high prices...

Had a wonderful lunch from the set menu, the food and service was excellent...oh and the view not too bad either.
