16/04/2026: Yesterday, we stumbled upon this charming little restaurant while strolling through Colmar. We asked for a table for four without a reservation... no problem. The interior is very elegant and tasteful, which might lead you to expect high prices... but no... drinks were reasonably priced and the food was inexpensive. We didn't want the obligatory tarte flambée or the greasy meat with heavy sauerkraut that's so common everywhere in Alsace. We ordered: chicken with sauerkraut, pike-perch with sauerkraut, and chicken with mushrooms and spaetzle. It was nothing like the food in tourist traps. The dishes were harmoniously combined, delicious, not greasy, and the flavors complemented each other perfectly. I would never dream of serving chicken or fish with sauerkraut at home. Here, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was apparently provided by the owners themselves. Always attentive, efficient, and with a smile – perfect. The surprise came with the bill: aperitif, wine, water, meal, digestif, and espresso: under €200 for four people. Go there and have a good time. Thank you for a lovely evening.
15/04/2026: Excellent restaurant. The pike-perch on sauerkraut is delicious, with original flavors like the chicken supreme with honey. The sauerkraut is perfectly cooked and mild. The kirsch mousse is worth the trip alone. Discreet and efficient service. No wait. A great experience, highly recommended.
