The setting is warm and inviting.
The spa area is simple, effective, and pleasant.
The Bohrer restaurant is excellent. We had a wonderful meal.

Themed menu: all pork, all goose. You either love it or hate it. The food is excellent, the ingredients are showcased beautifully.
Slow service. The wine is overpriced (the price per glass is outrageous, even prohibitive).

Restaurant Bohrer is much more than just a place to eat; it's a truly magnificent culinary experience. We were absolutely captivated by the exquisite cuisine and its deep connection to the Alsatian terroir.

We stayed one night (December 4th to 5th, 2025) at this hotel thanks to a gift voucher we received after our wedding. Overall, it was a lovely experience. However, there were a few minor issues. I ordered a bottle of wine at reception, and while the person was fetching it from the bar and returning, other guests checked in and were served before me. When my turn finally came, the gentleman at reception didn't remember me, greeted me, and asked what he could do for me! 🤣 I told him I was waiting for the bottle of wine. A slightly awkward moment for him. Then, this same person misread our gift voucher and directed us to the Brasserie Chez Julien that evening, even though we had booked a four-course tasting menu at the Boehrer restaurant. We had to go back and forth twice between the brasserie, the restaurant, and reception, where I asked him to check our voucher again. It turned out to be a registration error on his part. I asked if we could have a complimentary aperitif as compensation, which seemed fine to me since the waitress hadn't said anything negative. Well, to my surprise, the next day, when we paid for our drinks (which weren't complimentary), we had to pay for everything, including the two glasses of sparkling wine that were supposed to be offered as compensation.
In summary:
* Disappointment with the reception and the somewhat dated room, and stains on the toilet and sink in the bathroom.
* No minibar in the room, not even a bottle of water! Unheard of for us.
* Very good meal,
* comfortable bed.
