Restaurant Saint Etienne sur Aubazines

An exceptional experience! We held our wedding reception at the Saint Étienne, including a cocktail hour, dinner, an overnight stay in a room at the hotel, and brunch the following morning. Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome and attentive service of the staff to the delicious food served throughout our stay, including the rooms. The dance hall was also made available to us, which was fantastic. Cocktail Hour: The appetizers were superb, the beer excellent (with kegs provided), and the kir and punch were greatly appreciated. The band was also very pleased with the welcome they received from the manager. Dinner: The foie gras was excellent, the meat tender as we like it, without any tough bits. The cheese platter was impressive, and the frozen walnut soufflé was a true delight! Vegetarians were also able to enjoy a generous portion. The Brunch: Absolutely fantastic! Our guests and we ourselves were delighted with the Saint Étienne! We highly recommend this venue for a wedding or any other event. A fantastic team and service that exceeded our expectations!

We went there as a group of 16 with our car club. The initial contact was excellent, and the welcome we received was equally warm. The team was very friendly and dedicated. A timeless place in a very old building opposite the magnificent Aubazine Abbey. Delicious food at a very reasonable price. Don't hesitate to try this restaurant; you won't regret it!

The dining room was lovely. The meal was decent. However, I didn't understand the refusal to let me order one item from the set menu and one from the à la carte menu, specifying that I would pay the à la carte price because it was difficult to accommodate my allergies. And then they added, "You understand, it's a question of price," especially since it was a puff pastry with scallops, which my partner was able to order, but which was actually made with scallops.

Fantastic restaurant! We thoroughly enjoyed the gourmet cuisine, with excellent ingredients expertly prepared – a true delight. We'll be back often. Bravo to the Chef and the team!

In the Place d'Aubazine, a warm welcome awaits you at this restaurant where, despite the heatwave, the temperature inside remains pleasantly warm... The dishes offer good value for money, with a special mention for the walnut soufflé and its accompanying liqueur – a must-try!

A wonderful find after a few kilometers of winding road. The setting is very pleasant, the service is impeccably professional, and the food is exquisite. We particularly enjoyed the perfectly cooked sweetbreads and their accompanying accompaniments. Highly recommended.
