01/09/2026: A fantastic restaurant with a warm welcome, impeccable service and cuisine, as well as fabulous desserts at a very reasonable price. Plus, a lovely terrace overlooking the square, shaded by plane trees.

23/08/2026: After a short hike along the monks' canal, we just wanted to grab a sandwich. Thomas, the chef, kindly pointed us to a local shop, and we ended up discovering his appetizer platter for two—gargantuan and excellent. A real treat, with incredibly generous flavors. Beyond the food, the two young waitresses were exceptionally kind. Discreet yet attentive to our needs. This meal in the little square, shaded by trees, accompanied by French songs (Thomas even sang a few lines, and by the way, he has a lovely voice), will remain a wonderful memory of our vacation. Don't hesitate to go and discover this incredibly generous cuisine.

14/09/2026: I wanted to warn travelers about the unreliability of the establishment's manager with this review. I had booked a room with breakfast. I made sure by phone that the restaurant service would be available the evening of our arrival. At 5:01 PM, a call from the owner informed us that he would not be providing dinner: "I'm not going to open my restaurant for just two people," he said, and offered to try to find a solution in Brive (a 20-minute drive), while acknowledging that "it wasn't a sure thing on a Monday evening." Therefore, I cannot judge the quality of the hotel and restaurant. We preferred to continue our journey to Clermont, where we were able to simply eat and sleep. What a shame for the charming village of Aubazine to have such ambassadors!

30/08/2026: The dining room was lovely. The meal was decent. However, I didn't understand the refusal to let me order one item from the set menu and one from the à la carte menu, specifying that I would pay the à la carte price because it was difficult to accommodate my allergies. And then they added, "You understand, it's a question of price," especially since it was a puff pastry with scallops, which my partner was able to order, but which was actually made with scallops.
