A very nice restaurant in Obernai, the decor was really lovely! The wait for the aperitif was short, but afterwards it was very long to order food and drinks; we had to ask twice before we received them! However, the staff was very friendly!

What truly stands out is the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, who—despite the hustle and bustle—are attentive to every detail. The food is okay, but nothing special: the sauerkraut, served with two pieces of potato, is very greasy, which overwhelms the flavor and acidity. The cordon bleu is a good size, but it has a piece of what appears to be plastic wrap on it. That doesn't stop us from finishing it, though… The morel sauce is good. The restaurant is packed, and every square inch is used to squeeze in another table or chair. The waiters are struggling to move around because it's so full. Perhaps a little too full, to the detriment of the quality.

"A truly wonderful restaurant in Obernai, welcoming and well-maintained, with a charming Alsatian setting. The service is impeccable, and the dishes, such as the Baeckeoffe or the potato pancakes with smoked salmon, are delicious and beautifully presented. An absolutely delightful experience! I'll definitely be back!"

A warm and inviting atmosphere in true Alsatian style. The servers are very friendly and pleasant. We each ordered a ham hock. The dish was flavorful without being too salty, and the portion was generous. Perhaps even a little too generous; I couldn't finish it. I recommend this restaurant.

Excellent restaurant, superb and generous portions, particularly the sauerkraut. They even offer to take home any leftovers. The staff are very pleasant and humorous, and the prices are very reasonable.

Maison Alsacienne de Biscuiterie

05/09/2026: I rarely give 5 stars, but this establishment deserves it. They practice a craft that's almost impossible to find in France anymore: creating biscuits and candies. With supermarkets increasingly dominating the market, it's a pleasure to stumble upon this kind of business that preserves such important skills. Their biscuits are delicious, and they also make a few other candies and other products. I highly recommend going there to replace your store-bought cakes. A small parking lot is available right in front.
27/08/2026: Delicious macarons in a wide variety, and the traditional Bundt cake is also incredibly tasty. The different cookies (we bought several mixed bags) are truly exquisite. Plus, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. In short: Anyone visiting Obernai absolutely must stop by this biscuit shop.
