A truly excellent lunch experience! Fair prices, generous portions, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff was truly friendly and helpful!

An Italian-style refuge and also a table appreciated by tourists, hikers or not, and border residents on both sides. Friendly. I won't rate the refuge.

The refuge in this forgotten valley is part of a charming hamlet. The welcome is friendly and personalized. While the decor and bathroom facilities are dated, the service is attentive, with food worthy of a real restaurant. Another small drawback: the dining room is very noisy, but the generous plate more than compensates. In conclusion, a lovely stopover that could use a little refreshment.

While bivouacking, we had dinner at the refuge. A superb experience and a very good meal! A hot shower is available! Super friendly staff

We were a family (2 adults, 2 children aged 4 and 3), for one night with dinner and breakfast, at the end of August 2025. The dinner was very generous and good, in their room with a very beautiful view of the mountains...! The room was comfortable and clean. There are enough toilets and showers (also clean and comfortable), we did not need to queue! Simple but effective breakfast. Before leaving for the hike, we had the snack/snack they offer for the day, it was perfect!

The Valle Stretta is beautiful, and the refugees are kind. We stopped by for a break on our way to Lago Verde...

Lunch after a lovely walk in Val Stretta, everything was satisfying, the service was quick and very friendly, the polenta with sausage was excellent, as was the platter of cured meats and cheeses, and the vegetable minestrone was a real rarity, warming the tummy without weighing it down. We didn't try the desserts because we were already full, but they looked promising.

Excellent terrace for a drink on your return from Mont Thabor, a friendly, flowery and cozy refuge.
