Ristorante Sole Mio Victor Hugo sur Paris

We had a very pleasant dining experience at this restaurant during our visit to Paris. The watermelon and tomato gazpacho with mozzarella was refreshing, light, and full of flavor. The combination was beautifully balanced, with a subtle natural sweetness that made it a perfect starter, especially on a warm day. The meat was very tasty and cooked perfectly, exactly as ordered. The French fries were also enjoyable (8/10) and complemented the dish well. What made the experience even better was the excellent service. The staff were amazing, punctual, attentive, and genuinely pleasant throughout our meal. We felt welcomed and well taken care of from start to finish. Overall, it was a wonderful restaurant experience with delicious food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service. We would happily visit again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quality meal in Paris

A quick lunch at this bistro in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, near the Trocadéro. A bistro-style restaurant, pleasant atmosphere, but unfortunately no air conditioning 😩. Traditional French cuisine. I had a decent beef tartare, but the portion of fries was too small. The dark bread and butter were a nice and original touch. The ice cream for dessert was just okay (the bare minimum). Unfortunately, my waiter was terrible, completely unmotivated, and dragged his feet with no enthusiasm or energy at lunchtime 😩😩. Despite everything, it was expensive. It won't be on my list of good restaurants in the neighborhood.

The atmosphere is sophisticated, carefully furnished, and the background music is soft and elegant, very pleasant. The welcome was truly attentive, and the dishes were simply perfect. There were two of us, and we chose the monkfish and scallops; both were excellent. I would definitely return; it was a wonderful experience.

Walking back to our hotel through one of the local neighborhoods in Paris, we stumbled upon Victor completely by chance — and what an incredible find it was. When we arrived, they asked if we had a reservation. We said no, and thankfully they still welcomed us in. From the moment we sat down, everything about the experience was fantastic. The beef tartare was a unique twist on the traditional version, served with pear on the side, and it was absolutely delicious. We also had the escargot in a Burgundy sauce, which was outstanding. And I have to mention the bread they brought to the table — one of the best crusty French breads I’ve ever had. The menu is excellent, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and experience. There were so many other dishes we wanted to try that we’ll definitely have to come back. They also offer outdoor seating, which looked lovely, but it was a little too cold for us that evening. You don’t have to just stumble across this place like we did — it’s absolutely worth the drive, Uber, or cab ride. Highly recommended.

My wife and I fled (shortly after arrival) a nearby tourist trap restaurant and stumbled upon this gem. Cozy, Parisian authentic, attentive staff and very tasty. Exact opposite of the tourist mistake we made. Really saved our night. The wine pairing suggestions were thoughtful and spot on. Highly recommend this place for a romantic relaxed night. Only regret was not getting dessert but we were exhausted from a long day.
