A very nice discovery! We had known the name for a long time but had never tried it until then. The dishes were very beautiful but above all excellent with careful flavor and balance. (Way above some of the stars in the area.) We will be back!

Excellent 3-course lunch menu with good value for money. The “carrot variation” dessert is remarkable. The service is also top notch. Congratulations to the whole team.

A 7-course culinary journey that we won’t soon forget. My partner and I had a wonderful time and enjoyed every plate presented. Subtle flavors that satisfied us throughout the meal. Impeccable, efficient and discreet service. Food and wine pairing, quite an art, in which the sommelier excelled, both through his skills and his kind smile. The happiness of finding this good restaurant will always live with us, from now on…

Delicious moment shared with friends with the 7-course Rouge Barre menu. Restaurant found on Google to offer Christmas gift vouchers online. I selected this restaurant thanks to previous reviews and without regret. I can only recommend with 5 stars for the service, the menu, the drinks menu and the setting of the restaurant. Nothing more to say . Your Google rating is well deserved. We had a great time.

The food was excellent, the staff was kind and attentive, the ambience was relaxed. Highly recommend this place. We had the 7 course menu with wine menu. Everything was perfect.

26/03/2024: During our stay in Lille for the half-marathon, we discovered by chance on a Saturday afternoon while chatting on the sidewalk after the service, the team of this bistro. We went there on Monday lunchtime and we were so impressed. well received, the lunch with northern specialties was excellent, and therefore we highly recommend this bistro, Thanks again to the whole small team, it was a pleasure the “Bretons”

La Vieille Assiette

30/03/2024: A delight ! Very warm welcome in an estaminet setting. Divine Flemish stew and equally excellent American fillet. Served generously and quickly. Room a bit small and noisy when there are people, but it's difficult to push the walls :-) We've been here several times already and it's our favorite restaurant. You can go there with your eyes closed. Remember to book!
22/03/2024: La Vieille Assiette is exactly everything an estaminet should be. The dishes are really excellent (we tasted the welsh, the chti burger, the carbonnade, the Marengo veal, the pork cheek) and were unanimously appreciated by the table. The welcome and service are friendly and pleasant, and the decor is typical without being "too much". We feel really good: at home if we come from the region, and welcomed if we discover it. We leave in a good mood and with a full stomach. Thank you, we will come back, for sure! Edit: We've come back plenty of times and we'll come back again.
