Sam et Lie sur Saint-Andre-Lez-Lille

A very beautiful restaurant, with a refined and cozy atmosphere. No unnecessary "Asian" decor. There were five of us to celebrate the end of our vacation and reminisce about our trip to Thailand. We weren't disappointed; the appetizers were delicious, from the steamed dumplings to the satay skewers—everything was excellent. For the main course, we had three different curries, each with its own distinct character. My favorite was the beef salad with herbs, which was incredibly fragrant and flavorful. Just one small complaint: the mango sticky rice didn't quite taste like it did back home. Otherwise, it was a true trip down memory lane and a very enjoyable experience. A fantastic find! The dishes are simply delicious and prepared with care. Beyond the quality of the food, the service is outstanding: the waitress was exceptionally kind and thoughtfully brought my little black cocker spaniel a bowl of fresh water. A warm and dog-friendly establishment where you feel right at home. I highly recommend it!

I don't usually like Thai food (it's often too spicy for me), but this time I loved it! You can ask for the spice level to be adjusted, which is great for sensitive stomachs 🙂 The setting is lovely, and the staff is very friendly. I'll definitely be back!!

One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever tried.

Excellent experience at this restaurant, which truly lives up to its reputation as the best Thai restaurant in the Lille metropolitan area! The restaurant's exterior, barely visible unless you're looking for it, conceals a very pleasant, discreetly decorated interior. There are even semi-opaque curtains inside to separate the tables if needed, which add a nice touch to the decor. The menu offers many options to suit all dietary preferences: soups, fish, chicken, beef, served with rice or noodles. A word of caution: if you are sensitive to spicy food, be sure to choose dishes without the small "red flame" marking, which indicates the spiciness level of each dish. All the meals are excellent, beautifully presented, and generous; you can tell they're homemade with expertise! The value for money seems excellent to me; it's almost the same price as a "regular" restaurant, but the setting is almost gourmet, and the food is delicious while the service is excellent. Finally, the staff were incredibly attentive throughout the meal; each server greeted us and regularly checked if everything was alright. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone curious to discover Thai food or looking for a great meal in the Lille metropolitan area! We'll definitely be back 😉
