Mussels were good and service was quick (too quick, aperitifs were served at the same time as the wine). The children's menu included chicken without sauce, which was a bit dry. The fries were an extra €3 and came in a very small basket. Two women's restrooms were out of order, and one was blocked.
A shame.

We arrived in Lille quite late on a busy Friday evening and were pretty hungry. As soon as we saw the mussels being served, we knew that's what we wanted. We were able to walk in without a reservation, and the initial welcome was warm and friendly.
Unfortunately, the service became rather slow after that, and there was quite a bit of waiting. We also weren't served in French because our accent was apparently too strong, which was a little disappointing. Ironically, our waiter struggled to open a bottle of champagne, which I found quite amusing.
That said, the mussels were absolutely delicious and well worth the wait. Despite the slow service, I'd happily return.

Disappointing mussels "et frites" at Aux Moules. A huge bowl of moules to get through but not the plumpest or juiciest. It would have been passable but the frites were rubbish - soggy and luke warm. The young waiters were sweet and charming at least and it's a good lively spot for people watching.

Excellent welcome. Smiling staff, attentive to customers' requests. I'm a regular at this restaurant and I'm always very satisfied. The air-conditioned dining room was a welcome relief on this very hot day. The dishes chosen by my guests (mussels with Maroilles cheese, beef bourguignon, salmon steak) were all enjoyed.

The food was good, however, the wait was too long at times and I didn't feel valued, but perhaps they were overwhelmed… the servers improved later on, but overall I didn't enjoy the customer experience that day… the setting is nice, but I didn't really appreciate the service
