Great, I love the place and the atmosphere. The drinks are delicious. Very cool. The spritz is good. The ham hock is excellent. The chicken is tender and the Maroilles cheese is flavorful. Best regards

One of the only cafes open late, which is a plus.

A very friendly restaurant in the heart of Lille, on Place Rihour. The menu is varied with many specialties. The portions are very generous; one starter and one main course, and you won't have room for dessert. The food is good, and the service is excellent. For the price, the location, and the service until 3 a.m., it's a great find.

Chicory!!! 5 stars across the board for its historical significance. Good brasserie.

A very mixed experience. The location is excellent for people-watching, right in the heart of Lille, but the service was painfully slow and the restaurant felt massively understaffed. The staff themselves were friendly enough, but trying to get someone’s attention became a bit like playing Where’s Wally? except Wally was carrying our bill. 😂 We had the escargot, onion soup, mussels and a few Flemish classics. Everything was perfectly decent, but unfortunately nothing really stood out as great. A good spot if you want to sit, watch the world go by and soak up the atmosphere, but don’t come in a hurry. The food is okay; the service needs some serious reinforcement.

Guinguette de la Marine

14/10/2026: Cheddar and Camembert fries were amazing!! Warm and welcoming. Top-notch and incredibly friendly staff. Great evening!
11/10/2026: A really nice atmosphere at this riverside café on the banks of the Deûle! Their specialty is Welsh rarebit, but they also offer other types of dishes (meat, fish, a vegetarian option, etc.). The fregola sarda risotto with squash and hazelnuts was very good (I just wish it had been a little creamier). The apple crumble was excellent, served warm—a perfect, comforting autumn dessert! This place must also be very nice in the evening (table football and darts are available).

La Brioche Dorée

03/03/2026: Warm welcome, efficient and professional staff, which isn't always the case at some Brioche Dorée locations. I recommend it ☺️
