I had the €20 menu with starter, main course and dessert. As a starter I chose the salad with warm goat cheese. Good choice! For the main course I chose the grilled sardines. Also great! And for dessert, vanilla/chocolate ice cream. I'm more prepared for disappointment when it comes to ice cream in a restaurant, but not here! Today was a completely delicious lunch at a very good price. And with a view of the sea. Thank you, dear Santa Maria team!

Very good bistro near the Vieux Port. Price/performance top. The Marmite de la pecheur (fish stew) is nothing but terrific!! That alone is worth the trip. Linguine with mussels, moules frites, all good! Come again!!

Probably the best option to have lunch or diner near the sea in Bastia. The taste of food was great, so friendly stuff and great view to port.

Welcoming hosts and good food! The lady who welcomed us spoke Italian well and showed us the different menus (the complete one, the mussels and dessert one, fish and dessert etc.), we had the chevre chaud, the fish soup, the seafood linguine, the mussels marinara, lamb and finally chestnut dessert and apple pie (homemade desserts, what can I say... everything was good, plentiful and tasty, the staff were kind and helpful... recommended!

Une soirée au top dans ce restaurant en bord de mer. Conseillé par notre hôte de l'hôtel Ariana, nous y allons confiants. Des plats succulents à base de produits frais. Un large choix (bien plus que des pizzas!) pour un prix plus que raisonnable. Le poisson du jour, le Saint Pierre est cuisiné à la perfection. Contrairement à ce qui est noté, le restaurant est bien ouvert.

Accueil hyper sympa, et dans la bienveillance, cela fait du bien. Rapport qualité prix et accueil au top, dommage que c’était notre dernière soirée. Table avec vu sur la mer, service impecable et gentillesse de la patronne et du serveur. Rien que ça on reviendra à Bastia, et au Santa Maria, qui ne fait pas que des pizza, bien au contraire.

14/09/2024: I am surprised that this place does not have 5 stars, I honestly hesitated to arrive because of the reviews, I arrived here because it is the closest when you get off the ferry and wait for your bus to the south of La Corsica (they leave right in front), I arrived not expecting much of the service and food and I was honestly pleasantly surprised. Let's start with the food, it is DELICIOUS!!!! And the desserts, not to mention, were delicious, I think the photos and videos speak for themselves. The service is excellent, the man is so helpful and kind, you can see that he loves what he does, the place has a family and friends atmosphere. Don't be carried away by the old reviews, you are going to LOVE this place!!!
31/08/2024: We arrived late... around 2.30pm because they moved the ship for us. We stopped because it was open as many close at 2pm. Very kindly, we sat down and ordered. The dish of the day was tagliatelle... but given the time we opted for 2 burgers. Very good, much better than the various MC and Burger King ones. The best burger I've eaten so far. The first reviews are a bit scary but it was the old management. Advised.
