So, how can I put it? The service was incredibly slow; I had to wait an hour between each course. I wasn't familiar with Portuguese cuisine, and frankly, it wasn't great. I don't know if it was the food or the restaurant itself, but I just didn't like it at all. I certainly won't be going back.

Recommended by friends, I highly recommend this restaurant. Perfect welcome, excellent dishes, perfect value for money, nothing to add. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent experience at this restaurant. I booked without knowing that a Fado evening was planned. The menu was perfect. The Saudade team members are very friendly and never unpleasant. The Fado band brought a nostalgic feel. Would definitely do it again!

Angelina Versailles

20/02/2026: We have visited the Angelina in central Paris on many occasions so when we saw this one we knew we had to try it however we were disappointed with our experience. The choice of food was very limited, there was no sandwiches (which were advertised) despite it being lunchtime for example. There were two waiters but the wait was incredibly long and there seemed a bit disorganised which led to our tea waiting on the side for over 5 minutes before we were able to pay (ended up with iced tea). It is a shame for an establishment with such a good reputation.
13/01/2026: I am hesitating to share this gem because selfishly I want it to stay a secret. The good thing is that you will need to walk kilometres in the gardens if you are coming from the palace. Therefore it will never be overcrowded like the one situated within the palace itself. Just imagine eating some of the best cakes and hot chocolate in the world, in the midst of the royal gardens of Versailles! Price does not matter, because nothing beats it!
