We shared a tarte flambée as a starter, which was very tasty. The rösti as a main course is a cool idea and a delicious recipe, but unfortunately it tasted very bland and seemed completely unseasoned—the dish has so much more potential. A shame! The atmosphere was very nice, the service was quick and attentive, and the prices were reasonable.

Restaurant well located in the heart of the tourist area. Delicious Alsatian dishes! No room left to try the desserts, but we look forward to returning. The onion soup was amazing!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended! Schwendi Bier und Wistub is located very close to the Schwendi fountain in the heart of Colmar and is exactly what you'd expect from a typical Alsatian wine tavern. The kitchen offers classic Alsatian specialties, tarte flambée, and their own rösti. The service was excellent, super friendly, and attentive. The food was truly delicious, with generous portions and great quality. Beautiful location in the old town – we'll definitely be back!

23/08/2026: We ate very well, the only downside was the bottle of Carola sparkling water sold without a label which didn't taste like Carola. The waiter changed it for still water at my request.
