Shan Gout sur Paris

Cuisine artisanale gastronomique hyper fine avec des tarifs parfaiement abordables. Une heureuse decouverte pour nous qui avons poussé la porte par hasard.

We just returned from a wedding and were looking for a little place to eat. At Shan Goût we had a wonderful culinary experience with exquisite and delicate flavors. I would almost describe it as a healing kitchen and although I'm not that adventurous when it comes to food, when the owner said "I decide what you eat" (i.e. menu), I couldn't have been in better hands. Thank you very much for this experience...I also loved the Chinese tea books and all the little details inside. We will come back!

We ate very well. The fact that the chef decides the dish based on the availability, personally, I find that very good. I understand that this may be a problem for some. For my part, on the contrary it allows me to discover new dishes. For my part, the homemade noodles as a starter were my favorite, even if the main course was also very good. We feel the balance (in my opinion) of the spices and the mastery of local Chinese cuisine which is, I think in France, transformed a lot as a general rule. It's a "simple", raw, modest, honest cuisine. I like to be surprised, I was and overall I really liked it. This surprise has a price, but 22 euros for a starter and a main course (for fresh, homemade), it remains reasonable.

Shan Yi, owner of Shan Goût has created a unique experience/ restaurant in Paris, not far from Gard de Lyon. To be exact, it's on a par with Michelin star restaurants both here and in London and if you're lucky enough to go, and go with his choices, you will be rewarded with a gourmet meal, fabulous fusion of flavours and years of tradition adapted to a present palate. I've not had such an amazing and exquisite 'Chinese' taste experience in a very long time. Plus, we each had 4 courses, amuse bouches, desert, good wines and remarkable tea, with dishes to sensitively explode your taste buds and... an exceptionally well matched port selection with desert at a price that reflects their love of their craft, and not purely for their personal financial reward, as their passion leads their purpose. Thank you, it was exceptionally good and your charm and Karma make for a truly special occasion. If you know - you know - if you don't - don't go (unless you truly want to know ;)) they deserve to be successful. Thanks Shan Yi and chef 👏🏼👏🏼

I went there several times for lunch and for the first time in the evening, I always had a great time! More affordable menus at lunchtime and in the evening you can have a “surprise” menu by choosing the number of dishes for good value for money

Excellent food from the 3 course menu. Even though we didn't get to choose what we ate, what we were fed was fantastic. 👌

incredible! the food and vibes are impeccable. it’s in a small street off the beaten path but it’s not to diminish your interest. it’s worth it. had the 3 plate dinner and it just hit a whole lot of spots. come and enjoy! haven’t been to such memorable food experience at this price range for a long time
