Sicilia sur Montpellier

We had a very pleasant evening, a warm welcome upon arrival, excellent food, and very good service. It's a shame the woman who took our payment was (very) unpleasant; it left a slight mark on the evening. Luckily, everything else made up for it :) Edit: Owner's reply: Yes, usually it's a man who takes our payment, the owner I imagine? He generally offers us a digestif, which is very much appreciated because it's one of the only restaurants I go to that still does that. But that evening it wasn't you, it was a young woman. You'll see us again, of course. I've been coming and enjoying myself for too long to stop coming for such a small thing.

A repeat performance, and so appreciated! One minor point: the service was a bit rushed this evening, but no hard feelings, the most important thing was the food 💫

The best pizzeria in Montpellier!

I'd already left a review for La Sicilia's pizzas, which are still just as incredible after several visits 🍕 Today, let's talk about the main courses… and what a treat! A mille-feuille of eggplant, tomato, and ultra-fresh mozzarella, without pesto as requested, with excellent olive oil and freshly ground pepper: simple, precise, delicious. Then, perfectly cooked linguine alla puttanesca, with a superbly balanced homemade tomato sauce, capers, olives, anchovies… every flavor finds its place. Here, you can taste the true Italian/Sicilian cuisine: expertise, generosity, and ingredients treated with respect. I could have taken photos… but the real pleasure, the flavors, the aromas, the perfect cooking—it can't be captured on a smartphone. It has to be experienced firsthand, on the plate. A truly precious find.

A true immersion in Italy right in the heart of Montpellier. The atmosphere in the little streets of the city center is incredibly welcoming. Special mention for the speed of service despite the crowds. I will definitely be back!
