We've known Simple Simon for a very long time, more than 20 years for sure, and we've had softer Pear cakes... They were caramelized if I'm not mistaken. Therefore, this was somewhat disappointing.

The atmosphere of this little restaurant is so British. The daily special, featuring award-winning Black Angus beef (2023), with a giant homemade cookie and coffee, was €31. Very good, excellent service, and they accept e-connect holiday vouchers.

Four of us went for brunch yesterday. We'd seen on Google that there were two set menus, €21 and €26. When we arrived, the brunch was à la carte and quite expensive. The set menus were no longer available.
We each ordered a single dish served on a small plate, the presentation rather uninspired. My half an avocado was simply placed on a round of bread, with an egg added for €3.
For three small dishes, a slice of cake, two teas, a coffee, and a fruit juice, the bill was exorbitant, over €70. We might go back for tea and cake. As a tea room, it's cozy and very British. But never again for brunch.

This place is just amazing! The decor is so cool and unique, the pastries are delicious, and the food is generally high quality. My only complaint is the price of the teas, which is incredibly high. I still highly recommend it for anyone visiting Avignon 👌

This is the place that you are looking for if you want a breakfast, a coffee, a brunch. Very nice atmosphere, cozy, friendly staff, very good coffee, nice sweets, savory dishes. Open when everything else is closed. You found it :)
