Sin An Kiang sur Paris

It's a traditional Chinese restaurant that had its moment of glory but is still decent: Good dim sum, Peking duck in 2 courses, lobster ginger chives.

I ordered a glass of Muscadet from the menu for €5 (corked/too old?; the restaurant opened another bottle to replace it, and this time it was a good 2022 Muscadet) and the €20 set menu for one evening. The spring roll was bland (tasted like eating vermicelli-covered chewing gum and was disappointing). The main course, however, raised my rating from 2 to 3 stars: the chicken curry with coconut milk and Thai rice was very well cooked, but just enough in my opinion. I finished with the coconut pearl dessert, served with only one piece (Asian restaurants usually put two on the plate...), and it didn't really have much flavor either. Compared to other Asian restaurants in Paris, €20 seems expensive. You're probably paying for the location. If I had to choose, I'd go elsewhere next time.

Portions were great. Beef and onion was outstanding. Dumplings were perfection. Great meal!

The place is beautiful, very well decorated. We always receive a warm welcome, the dishes are reasonably priced and very good. A great find, we come back often.

A very elegant restaurant. A little more expensive à la carte than other restaurants, but they have a set lunch menu. The waiters are very attentive.

If you're looking for a good Chinese restaurant near the bustling Place de la République, this is the place to go. The welcome is very warm, the service impeccable and quick, and the cuisine authentic and delicious. We ordered several appetizers, including steamed and fried dumplings, eggplant, sweet and sour shrimp, and delicious caramelized pork ribs. We'll be back because the value for money is excellent, with a €20 lunch menu. I should also mention that the restaurant is spacious and well-decorated; it's a far cry from the small restaurants in the 13th arrondissement where you have to elbow your way through the crowds.

I had lunch here for my birthday with a friend. Everything was delicious. The Peking duck was amazing. And the service was top-notch. The place is beautiful with traditional decor.
