Very friendly staff, a bit noisy but that's to be expected with a crowd... The meat was very good and tender. A great evening, we'll be back.

The restaurant has a very pleasant setting and efficient, helpful, and welcoming staff. The fondue we had was just okay: we ordered a porcini mushroom fondue, but the cheese was rather bland, probably industrially produced, and the porcini mushrooms were not very flavorful.

I really enjoyed my experience. Perfect when you want a fondue and you're alone, lots of variety. The service was still quite fast. The Beaufort cheese fondue was very good. The blueberry pie was excellent, finally a blueberry pie with actual fruit instead of cookies!

The raclette was excellent and very generous. We also tried two fondues, both with superb cheeses, in a very friendly atmosphere with a central bar. And to top it all off, the service was impeccable!

La Tête de Solaise

23/04/2026: The hotel is a bit overrated in my opinion, and the experience was disappointing, especially the restaurant. Otherwise, the rooms are pleasant. Special mention goes to the spa, which overlooks the valley – a breathtaking view!
22/03/2026: This was our second time staying at Le Refuge. The room, the staff, the service were all wonderful. Extremely convenient to have Oxygene rentals onsite. The best part was making first tracks every morning when the piste opened due to the mid-mountain location. 10/10 we would absolutely stay here again. The only drawback (and this is a small one) is that you have to dine onsite each evening ... so during the week we were there we had covered the entire dinner menu and were looking for some options. But the options provided were still excellent.
