This restaurant thrives on its owner, a woman with heart and soul, which radiates throughout the evening. The quality of the food was outstanding, as was the taste: couscous with lamb shank, accompanied by a good rosé. Reservations are essential.

Takeaway couscous for 8 people, good advice on quantities without any pressure to order more... truly excellent couscous, a relaxed and friendly welcome, no hesitation, you can go there with your eyes closed. The owner is "quite eccentric" in a good way, friendly, welcoming, and down-to-earth. We'll be back.

We came two nights in a row, practically neighbors (thanks to our rental right next door, see the sardines 😀), and loved the straightforward manner, the juicy anecdotes, and the tourist tips for Djerba... We discovered this restaurant by chance during our evening visit to St. Maximin. The decor is sublime and the location is peaceful, far from the touristy areas of the town center. The welcome from the owner, the employee... and a little dachshund is warm and friendly. The cuisine reflects the setting and the atmosphere: fragrant and generous dishes. The tea, the pastries—everything delighted us, and we will gladly return. Best wishes and thank you for your hospitality, your simplicity, and your generosity.

We were eagerly awaiting the reopening, on a recommendation, and oh what a wonderful surprise! An exceptional moment, an exceptional dish, an exceptional welcome—what a place, what a discovery! Go there, the atmosphere is electric at SOFRA, which, by the way, means "the grand table" 😉 Thank you to the whole team; we left the restaurant completely refreshed 🤗
