30/03/2024: We came to eat yesterday lunchtime, the main course was good, even if the portion was not very generous. The decoration is very pleasant. However, I was very disappointed with the dessert. I chose profiteroles, the chocolate coulis really had a strange taste, anything but a chocolate taste, sour, almost acidic, like fermented. The appearance looked like small seeds. After eating 1 out of 3 profiteroles I took the liberty of asking a waitress to express my astonishment. We took my plate to go check in the kitchen, and my plate came back as is, assuring me that the taste and appearance was normal. The people at my table also tasted it and it is certain that the coulis did not have the taste you would expect from a chocolate coulis. I could have been offered 1 or 2 profiteroles without coulis to compensate because I indicated that I would not eat what was left on my plate. I found the attitude borderline, and the response making me understand that if I wasn't satisfied then too bad for me. One thing is certain, I will not advertise this restaurant to my Messin friends... and will certainly not return to this restaurant.
