Truly one of the best meals I've ever had. The staff was very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of without interrupting our meal or conversation too often. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place during our stay in Dijon, and if we have the pleasure of returning soon, I will definitely stop here again. Thank you again!

The concept is disturbing: no choice of dessert or main course... which is the very essence of a restaurant. We can accept a limited selection if the ingredients are fresh. And for the main course, you impose a chicken with a spoonful of parsnip purée... in season... not guaranteed. The price is unjustified.

There were six of us who discovered the lunch menu... and all six of us loved it. The cuisine was delicate, precise, inventive, and perfectly executed, proving that you can do a lot with simple ingredients at a very reasonable price. Add to that an elegant and welcoming setting and attentive service... What more could you ask for?

A true gem!!! Cozy, friendly little place in the outskirts of Dijons old town. Small menu expertly executed by their Japanese team in the kitchen. Very skilful innovative tasty french with a touch of Japanese. Extremely price worthy!

Really nice place with delicious cuisine. The menu is simple and limited, but in a good way — you choose from two starters and then enjoy the main dish. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. Definitely recommend!

Okay, but nothing more... nothing exciting, but the price was really fair. Maybe it was my high expectations, but while everything was good, it was unimpressive. There was nothing I couldn't easily make myself at home. Admittedly, I'm a pretty decent cook. 🤔😉

This was our 2nd time coming here, the last time 3 years ago. This restaurant remains EXCELLENT and I would highly recommend (although note they do limited menu, with two choices of starter but one set main, but food superb). Atmosphere excellent and service very professional and friendly.

Carpe Diem

17/05/2026: A very enjoyable time at Le Carpe Diem. The place is quite discreet, a little off the beaten path, with a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The service is delightful. The menu features Burgundian cuisine, with frog legs 🐸 and snail croquettes being a real surprise. The veal kidney with mustard sauce is very flavorful, and the beef bourguignon is melt-in-your-mouth tender. Paired with a good red Burgundy, it's hard to imagine a better experience!
17/05/2026: An ideal place to discover Burgundian cuisine skillfully reimagined by the chef. A warm welcome and excellent value for money. It's slightly set back from Place de la Libération, but well worth the trip! Book ahead, you won't be disappointed.
