Our first time at this wonderful restaurant in Ensheim. The staff were friendly, and the traditional dishes were excellent. We had a lovely time. Thank you to our friends Francine and Richard for introducing us to this place. We will definitely recommend it. Chantal and Maurice

Since the change of ownership, this address has become mediocre.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Père Benoît, and it was a complete success. The entire team took excellent care of me from beginning to end, with genuine attention that made the occasion truly memorable. The Alsatian cuisine is authentic, generous, and of high quality, showcasing the region's traditions with great skill. But beyond the excellent dishes, it's the warm welcome and exceptional service that truly deserve to be highlighted. A big thank you also for introducing us to La Guinguette, a charming venue that added a unique touch to this wonderful celebration. Thanks to the whole team, we had a fantastic evening in a warm and friendly atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return. Thank you again for this magnificent evening.

Excellent Alsatian cuisine! Traditional recipes with a touch of originality! We tried the duck fleischnaka as a main course and the apple shortbread with plum coulis, both perfectly executed. Everything was homemade, including the bread and the fries, which were delicious! They always have seasonal specials and homemade tarts that are a real treat… The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is warm, and the staff is pleasant and friendly :)

In May 2026, a table of 12 was served by a single woman in our dining room. We arrived at 7:10 PM. Drinks were taken at 8:00 PM. Aperitifs were served at 8:20 PM. Dinner orders were taken at 8:45 PM. Dinner was served at 9:30 PM, a total of 2 hours and 20 minutes after our arrival! The woman, who was extremely friendly and did her best, explained that the kitchen couldn't keep up with 150 dishes to serve at once. That's not our problem; in that case, reduce the number of customers. My dish was dry, my niece's vol-au-vent was served lukewarm, and the potatoes for my wife, served with the sauerkraut and salmon, were simply raw. Very different from November 2025: The staff was welcoming, smiling, very professional, and attentive. Delicious meal with lots of flavor; everything is homemade from appetizer to dessert, and it shows. Very reasonable prices; I recommend it without hesitation. We will definitely be back. Well then...

A typical Alsatian spot, refined cuisine, very reasonable prices considering the quality of the food, and a smiling waitress from start to finish. Highly recommended.
