I liked this cuisine, subtle and surprising, special mention to the asparagus in the dish. Portions could be slightly more generous. A little less enthusiastic about the dessert chosen with Jerusalem artichoke chips (hmmm) but which I found overall quite bland.

Well done ! Flawless for this “culinary experience”! Flavors and perfumes fill our plates and our taste buds! Never seen before, never tested: pure creation for our greatest pleasure! As beautiful as it is good... the phrase is a bit "classic" in terms of creativity in cooking, but it is nevertheless the case! Thank you for this good time at the table! And thank you for your very friendly and touching welcome! All of this makes us want to come back, certainly, but will also encourage us to talk about you, to share this great experience with others!

In Lyon Croix-Rousse, the best! I regularly go there alone, with my partner or with friends. Dishes of great finesse and impeccable service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellente soirée passée chez Substrat. Du décor travaillé avec ses poutres apparentes aux plats délicieux et inventifs et au service impeccable, tous les ingrédients étaient présents pour une soirée parfaite

01/04/2024: I've been there twice and both my experiences were perfect. Quick and friendly welcome. The fact of paying for game access only once and having access to it all evening is very nice (unlike game bars where you pay by the hour).

02/04/2024: Exceptional! Do not trust negative reviews which only reflect overly personal experiences. We went there on Sunday March 31 at the end of the service, we were welcomed "like at home" as if we were regulars, the owners Nanou and Franck were fond of us, the retro atmosphere of the place and the music took us on a journey, far from the Lounge Chillout music that we are used to listening to. The dishes offered are authentic from a real "Bouchon Lyonnais", they were well served and very good. They accompanied us throughout the meal, and were attentive to us. We will definitely come back there during our next stay in Lyon to introduce our friends to this place and thank Nanou and Franck very warmly again for this time with them.
01/04/2024: Easter week end. We were looking for a restaurant after 10 p.m..... Not easy. However, Nanou and Franck welcomed us with open arms. What a great idea. Charming, super friendly and welcoming people. Be careful, place reserved for bon vivants!!! Here, we eat well (healthy enthusiasts, go your way), we drink well, we have fun, we chat, we meet new people... All this in an atmosphere like at home. Thank you Nanou for saving us from the waters and making us so warmly welcome, thank you Franck for the delicious cuisine. Stay as you are, real people. We love it and recommend +++!!!
