Sud Bretagne Hotel's Restaurant sur Pornichet

We chose this hotel because it seemed very charming, and it's true that the reception area is nicely decorated. Unfortunately, our experience didn't live up to this first impression. Upon arrival, the receptionist didn't really explain how the hotel worked or the breakfast arrangements, which gave us a rather cold and unprofessional welcome. Discovering our room was a real disappointment: the decor needs a complete overhaul. It doesn't fit the Breton theme at all, which is all the more regrettable given the hotel's name and location. The still-life painting and the owl wallpaper create an incoherent and unwelcoming atmosphere. We also encountered several problems with the amenities. The door between the bedroom and the bathroom didn't close completely, which compromised privacy. Furthermore, the sink is very poorly designed: the faucet is badly positioned relative to the basin, making simple tasks like rinsing your face difficult. Adding to this is a significant point: the night is expensive for what the hotel actually offers. The value for money is clearly lacking. Fortunately, the bedding was comfortable and the breakfast quite comprehensive, which slightly improves the overall experience, but this is not enough to compensate for the numerous negative points. In short, a hotel with potential but which needs real improvements in customer service, room decor, the functionality of the facilities, and pricing.

We came for a weekend getaway for two. We were delighted with the welcome, the professionalism of the staff, and the quality of the services offered. We highly recommend this establishment.

We were in dire need of some comfort this October… and we found it with the wonderful team at Sud Bretagne, whose kindness and attentiveness were truly heartwarming. The room was superb, spacious, with its own private balcony furnished with a table and chairs, a very comfortable bed, and ample storage space. Special mention goes to the excellent breakfast buffet: generous, varied, and delicious. Finally, don't hesitate to try the spa, which can be booked privately – a perfect wellness break after a long day.

The hotel is very well located and has a lot of charm. However, in the mornings I had no hot water despite letting it run for several minutes. When I mentioned this issue at the reception, I was told rather rudely that I should have let it run even longer. My expectation would be that guests are informed if the hot water requires an unusually long time to come through, or that the staff acknowledge a possible technical problem. I found the way the situation was handled unprofessional.
