22/03/2026: Unfortunately, I have to change my opinion, which was very positive in April 2025.
I've been back several times since, and it's always been excellent, but my last visit was disappointing.
The charcuterie and cheese platter used to include several kinds of cheese, but now it's only two: four pieces of Comté and four slices of other cheese.
The crème brûlée was grainy and watery.
The staff seemed stressed throughout the evening and kept pacing around. At one point, a couple sat behind us and looked at the menu. They had to ask the server to stop coming because his colleagues had asked them for their order four times in the space of eight minutes.
One last minor drawback: there used to be several vegetarian options for the main course, but now there's unfortunately only one choice of buns filled with crunchy vegetables.

10/04/2026: Perfect, excellent value for money. Clean room and quiet hotel, despite its beachfront location and proximity to several restaurants. Lovely, varied breakfast buffet and quality meals. Direct access to the thalassotherapy center in your bathrobe.

Landes salad: no effort made in presentation; foie gras? More like butter: flavor? Ugh... The gizzard: flat, mostly fat... Disappointing!
A steak: tiny, tiny.
Two tournedos Rossini: one undercooked... So, I didn't even want to try the desserts...
First and last time!
Avoid it!

06/03/2026: Thank you for this lovely winter evening. As a restaurant owner myself, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was very pleasant, and thank you for the towels that smelled so fresh from the laundry. It seems this establishment is the culmination of a very close-knit family.

05/03/2026: We were lucky enough to have a table cancel their reservation to order fondue at this restaurant! The fondue was delicious and plentiful, and the service was excellent! It was a bit pricey, but definitely worth trying. We'd love to go back and try other dishes!

However, the housekeeping staff should improve their efforts, as the cleaning quality remains average and improvements are needed.
On the other hand, the restaurant staff is impeccable.
05/04/2026: I wanted to share my completely objective and factual opinion about our visit this afternoon to the castle's outdoor bar. We had come to enjoy a drink on the sunny terrace, and Antoine came to take our order. We asked him about the cocktail of the day, but without success. After several minutes, he returned. We asked him the same question about the cocktail, and he replied, "Oh, damn, I forgot." This was followed by an order error, an uncleaned table after a spilled drink, and so on. The toilets were dirty and had no toilet paper, the bin was overflowing, and there were heated arguments between the servers. In short, it's simply UNACCEPTABLE for such an establishment!

28/10/2025: If you want a motorway hot chocolate and bad coffee, this is the place to go!!! 3.90 euros for a machine hot chocolate, and a disgusting long coffee for 2 euros. Never again for us! RUN AWAY!
