Great little place with excellent service and amazing food. A few good beers on tap also. Nice atmosphere inside and not too noisy even though full.

Amazing place! Quick service and amazing people working at the place. Stopped in for dinner had a burger and a sandwich so delicious and wish we had more of an empty stomach to fit it all, doggy bag to the rescue. Thank-you to our bartender great energy.

A must-visit for meals with friends. The best fish and chips in Bordeaux. The menu is always a safe bet, including the burgers of the day and the Sunday roast. EVERYTHING IS GOOD. I highly recommend it.

Always a warm welcome at Sweeney's! Truly my favorite pub in Bordeaux. The food and drinks are great, and the owners are incredibly kind 😊 Tip: try their burgers of the moment!!

I had a wonderful evening at this establishment. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is authentic and warm. I enjoyed a delicious traditional fish and chips with good friends, while watching Arsenal's 3-0 victory.

The best pub in Bordeaux! If you come in winter, you absolutely must try their pies or Sunday roasts – they're delicious! The music is great and the service is always welcoming and helpful.

14/02/2026: We received a warm welcome and enjoyed a delicious meal the first time, so we returned. The staff was great and we had a pleasant chat. The chocolate mousse(s) were excellent. And thank you for the thoughtful touch at the end of our meal. See you soon!

17/02/2026: Always a good choice, and for a long time. We hadn't been there for a while, but with the number of good, classic brasseries in the area dwindling, we were happy to return. The service was very professional and efficient. The French cuisine was delicious. The restaurant has a very friendly atmosphere; you're not necessarily relegated to a corner at a small table if there are only two of you. The fried rib-eye steak was excellent, and the steak tartare was perfectly prepared. The nougat glacé was to die for. Just one small complaint about the Perrier with a slice of lemon; half a thin slice is a bit meager, but unfortunately, this is quite common in many establishments in Bordeaux that are a bit stingy with this citrus fruit. It's a fact, this is grape country, not lemon country.
