Le Plana sur Bordeaux

Lunch on Friday, March 27, 2026, for three people. The quality of the dishes and desserts was consistently excellent, but the service was subpar. The waiters were overwhelmed due to insufficient staff, and there were some regrettable service errors: deviled eggs were thrown at the customer and onto the table without the waitress taking the time to apologize or clean up; our wine glass was soiled with eggs and replaced at our request with a small amount of wine; and coffees were poured hastily without the plates being cleared. To top it all off, the manager reacted very negatively when informed of our problems. His only explanation: the waiters need to be paid at the end of the month! For a brasserie that charges above-average prices, one would expect better.

The Boeuf de côte was wonderful, both in taste, presentation, and accompaniments. The crème caramel had a perfectly balanced sugar level. My wife loved it. We received very friendly service from our waiter. This was the best, friendliest, fastest, and most delicious restaurant service we had on our Bordeaux trip.

Very friendly service. We were given a brief explanation of the history of the building and the surrounding area, which is always a nice touch :) The food was sublime and the portions were generous.

We ate there based on online reviews, and we were absolutely not disappointed. The welcome and service were impeccable, with friendly, humorous, and welcoming staff. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. Not to mention the excellent food. The duck breast was cooked to perfection, and the prawn and scallop skewer on a bed of peppers was simply delicious. Go without hesitation. Thank you for this culinary delight.

A lovely little brasserie! The prices are a bit high, but the food was very good and the setting really pleasant; I'll definitely be back!
