Amazing and authentic Japanese meal in Paris. We walked in on a Wednesday night with no reservation - though I would recommend making one! We started off with two oysters, uni rolls, and the toro sashimi appetizer. The slices were fresh and thick and beautifully presentation overall. Then we had the Wagyu shabu shabu with comes with a small trio of appetizers (cucumber salad, monkfish liver (their specialty which was actually surprisingly delicious! totally recommend you to try) and a seaweed salad. Then came the sashimi platter - oyster, shrimp, scallop, salmon, ikura/squid, hirame fluke, aka me tuna, and avocado). Finally we ended with the Wagyu shabu shabu 120g and some veggies/tofu and a choice of rice or udon for the broth. Everything was fresh and tasted great. A bit on the pricier side but we also ordered a lot of food. Would recommend and revisit too!

An incredible restaurant because the atmosphere is so peaceful (no one shouts), the lighting is dim, the dishes are prepared with high-quality ingredients and care, and the service is quick. The best part is that the waitresses are dressed in Japanese style; it's beautiful and exotic. I loved the eggplant, the crispy salmon skin, the broth with buckwheat soba noodles, and the duck. And the homemade chocolate dessert was to die for. The menu is a bit more expensive than other restaurants in the Asian quarter because it's gourmet. Everything is homemade. Top-notch.

Takara is a reliable choice amidst the constant flurry of Japanese restaurant openings and closings in Paris. The quality has been consistently high for years. It's one of the very few restaurants in Paris that offers truly excellent sushi to go. An authentic establishment where quality is maintained and well-earned.

Fresh produce, delicate and authentic flavors. The traditional atmosphere is very pleasant, and it's a Japanese restaurant where you really have a good time.

An unforgettable experience. I wasn't a fan of basic sushi and went to this restaurant by chance: it was excellent, bursting with flavor. We ate the sushi without sauce, proving that it was perfect on its own. It was an explosion of flavor. I learned to love sushi thanks to the expertise of their chef and cooks. The rice, salmon, tuna, and seaweed were all so expertly prepared. I can't wait to discover even more about this world. Thank you.

We visited what is reportedly the oldest Shabu-Shabu restaurant in Paris, and the experience was truly memorable. The decoration is exquisite and incredibly authentic, making you feel as though you've stepped directly into Japan，the ambiance alone is worth the trip. The service is exceptionally thoughtful and attentive. Our server was meticulous, helping us place the fresh ingredients into the pot and patiently explaining the cooking process and origin of the various cuts. This level of care truly elevates the dining experience. The ingredients are undeniably fresh, and the flavor of the Shabu-Shabu is impeccable. The quality is certainly there, and the taste is fantastic. The only drawback, and the reason for caution, is the portion size for the price. We spent €120 for two people and, unfortunately, did not feel completely full afterward. Verdict: If you have a generous budget, this restaurant is absolutely worth a visit for its stunning decor, fantastic service, and fresh, high-quality food. It's a culinary experience rather than a large meal.

A really good Japanese restaurant with beautiful decor; you truly feel like you're in Japan. The atmosphere is calm and authentic, perfect for fully enjoying your meal. The nigiri were fresh and delicious, but what we loved most was the eel rice ✨🤩 It was excellent, the best I've ever had! Tender, melt-in-your-mouth, and bursting with flavor.
