We came for the Shabu-Shabu, which was excellent! We also indulged in some sushi, the best we've ever had. The staff is incredibly attentive!

An exceptional experience, excellent sukiyaki just like in Japan. Impeccable service. A truly enchanting place. Superb!

Takara is one of my favourite Japanese spots in Paris. It has a excellent and complete menu offering all kinds of Japanese dishes. The staff are very friendly and the interior is beautifully designed. I am never disappointed by the food and service. The sushi head chef has been working there for years and it’s always fantastic. Cant wait to come back. Arigato!

The first Japanese restaurant to open in Paris, in 1958! Welcoming and intimate, everything is delicious and high-quality, from the raw fish and broths to the hot dishes served directly in casseroles and the famous Wagyu beef... With a very good sake list to accompany it all. The service is attentive and friendly.

The fish is excellent quality and delicious, plus the atmosphere inside is very pleasant. However, the prices are quite high and the bill adds up very quickly. For €20 more, you might as well go to an Omakase sushi bar where everything is made to order in a more intimate setting.

Excellent Japanese food; the fish was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the service was top-notch.

I really hate to give this place a bad review because I love the food! But I’ve been twice and spent roughly 1500 euros there and the service is just abysmal. I mean it is laughably bad. Both times I went I was rushed to leave as service ended. But the second time we weren’t even at the hot pot when our waitress decided we didn’t have time to cook and serve ourselves (you know, the entire appeal of shabu shabu) so what followed was like a scene from a Monty python movie where they brought us tiny bowl after tiny bowl of whatever they decided we had to eat from the pot of soup. There were 6 of us and at times I had multiple bowls of cold meat in front of me (and a mouth full too.) I couldn’t even think before they shoved another in front of me. So we’re sitting there with a table full of half eaten bowls of unloved soup and they bring out the dessert menu. Then I’m trying to eat my meat, understand what is happening and why I’m being punished AND pick a dessert. We might as well have eaten dessert out on the curb, that’s how aggressively they pushed us out. After spending 800 euros lol. I have never in my life spent so much and been treated so badly. The sashimi is bomb, though. Just go during the day, basically lol. Their last shift isn’t their last shift, it’s a hidden camera show. Good luck!
