Delicious! One of the best Japanese restaurants in Paris

We loved everything! The traditional food was very good, the service excellent, and the atmosphere very welcoming. The shabu shabu was delicious; we're Brazilian, but we felt like we were in Japan.

The products are very fresh and the dishes are all well prepared; I go there very often and I'm always happy!!

A really cozy Japanese restaurant in the city and one of my favourites for years. Reservations are highly recommended, though solo diners can often try their luck with a seat at the bar. It’s on the pricier side, but the quality is consistently excellent (really good sushi!) and the service is incredibly attentive. Highly recommend.

It was delicious, but expensive! For two people, a light meal and drinks came to €240, which is about 45,000 yen. Also, they were €40 off on the bill; it would have hurt a little if we hadn't noticed.

Overall, a nice restaurant for sukiyaki; however, the other dishes were just okay. Service was welcoming and friendly and environment was a typical Japanese tavern. My fav: Sukiyaki (5⭐) — the soup was flavorful, and the meat was fresh and well prepared Shabu-Shabu & Sashimi Omakase (4⭐) — I personally preferred the sukiyaki over the shabu-shabu. I found the shabu-shabu soup a bit bland, while I liked the sesame vinegar sauce on the side, we barely used the other sauce. On the other hand, the sashimi omakase was fresh, but not to the point where I think it was worth it. Tempura (3.5⭐) — A nice variety of veggies that allowed us to try a bit of everything. However, I found the dipping sauce on the side disappointing — a bit bland as well.

Takara is a reliable choice that I highly recommend. The quality and service are perfect. We had the Shabou Shabou fondue, which was very tasty and very generous.

Takara is a great spot for authentic Japanese cuisine in Paris, with a long history dating back to 1958. We enjoyed everything we had, and the prices felt quite reasonable, especially considering the quality and location. The service was helpful and nice, and the atmosphere had a warm, simple, Japanese-style charm. It feels more like a genuine Japanese restaurant than a tourist-focused place, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended if you enjoy Japanese cuisine.
