Tanpopo is a small, unassuming restaurant that stands out from the crowd. The small space, with just 10 seats, has encouraged some conversations among the guests, creating a convivial atmosphere. Everything is explained in English, and you pay just €70 for a delicious seven-course meal. This restaurant leaves nothing to be desired and easily lives up to its good reviews.

The food is wonderfully good, a delight for the taste buds. But the wait between courses is very, very long.

In the evening, they only offer a 5- or 7-course menu. The chef is Japanese, but he skillfully incorporates foreign ingredients into Japanese cuisine, providing very original and delicious Japanese food. As he cooks alone, as other reviews have said, it can take a little time between dishes, but you can feel his careful work. He also carefully accommodated my allergies, and the service was excellent. I was told the 5-course meal would take 2 hours, but it was actually 3 hours. We had a very satisfying and meaningful time. It may not be suitable for those with a formal kaiseki style meal, those with limited time, or those with small children, but I would definitely recommend this restaurant to those who want to take their time and enjoy their food.

Following a friend's recommendation, we came to try this Japanese restaurant. It was a wonderful discovery! All the products are very well prepared and delicious. The welcome is friendly and open to conversation. Excellent meal, I highly recommend it!

The owner welcomes you, serves and presents the dishes. Ask him questions about the dishes, the ingredients, the technique, or the objects around you in one of the restaurant's dining rooms; he will be happy to answer them. The owner is in the kitchen, creating many small dishes as rich as they are varied in flavor, surprises, delicacy, and bold in her choice of ingredients. Yes, the wait is long between each course. In this restaurant (and not a fast food restaurant), you take your time to appreciate the cuisine, you savor the moment, you chat between each course, you live. At the end, we were the last ones there and had the chance to chat with the owner in the kitchen. A Japanese woman happy to share a moment with customers and reservedly delighted to receive compliments on these dishes prepared with care and love. Thank you both.
