There's no denying it, every time we stay a few days in Saint-Malo, we have to go to Tanpopo. The menu changes daily depending on what's available at the market and the choices of this couple who run the restaurant. That's why there's always a pleasant surprise. It's absolutely delicious. €25 for a Bento with dessert is, for a truly authentic Japanese restaurant, more than reasonable. Well, see you very soon. We went back to Tanpopo again. The excellence is still there, with the same delight in a delicious meal. The price hasn't changed and remains very reasonable for such high quality. Thank you, we'll be back again and again. The Loiseau Family Well, here we are in February 2023, and we're back. An amazing value for money for a Bento at €28 all-inclusive, plus a ramen soup and a two-chocolate dessert. Gault & Millau awards this a chef's table. Magnificent, with very friendly service and a Japanese cook whose kindness and skill are truly touching. See you soon! And here we are again for lunch, with the Bento box as always a delightful surprise. Well, no suspense here, we had another wonderful meal. A marvelous establishment.

A fantastic discovery at Tanpopo! The tasting menu was truly excellent: each dish was delicious, original, and expertly prepared. The ingredients were high-quality, and the variety of dishes throughout the meal, without any repetition, was quite impressive. You can really appreciate the work that went into each plate. Having visited this establishment for the second time, we left just as delighted as on our first visit. The lunch bento menu is exquisite. Everything is a discovery; the taste buds, the eyes, the nose—all the senses are awakened. It's subtle, refined, and delicate cuisine, prepared with care. But not just any care: each ingredient is respected, cut, cooked, and elevated by the chef. The service is equally impressive; we are guided through the tasting and warmly welcomed. We will definitely be back.

An exceptional experience!! There's been a major error: Tanpopo has gone from offering 7 courses to 5 courses in the evening, all for a single price of €50. At that price, it's a steal! A wonderful discovery bursting with flavor, simply our favorite restaurant in Saint-Malo and beyond... One word: BRAVO! Don't hesitate, dare to try it, you won't regret it!
