Okay for an overnight stay in transit. The staff is very friendly, breakfast was great. Beds, well. My mattress was dirty. I always look under the bedsheet. I'll spare you the photo. We had a room facing the outside area of ​​the restaurant. There was lounge music playing all night long. Even though the window was closed, we could still hear the music. The city can be reached on foot. There are restaurants, bars and shopping opportunities there.

Wonderful location, friendly and professional employees, reasonable rates... But : the outside padillo is in great need of a power wash, the USB A plug incorporated in the room wall outlet (nice touch) didn't work, bedside lights have non matching colors, tv remote control was annoyingly malfunctioning. Last but not least, lack of quality consistency in breakfast quality. Sunday was ok but Monday was of poorer quality (rubbery pain au chocolat, not enough bread, etc...)

The rooms are terribly cold, the bathroom is all plastic. The dishes in the restaurant taste like those in a roadside pub. The most annoying thing was the activation of the room entry card at the reception after every exit for more than two hours. Plus, close to the center and nice views.

Very good experience at this ibis, especially as a hypoallergenic dog owner with dog allergies as the cleaning standard was extremely good.

Access by car is a bit complex when you come for the first time and then you get used to it once you get your bearings. Presence of parking. You can reach the city quite quickly on foot or by tram along the banks of the Doubs. The rooms are ok in size. The breakfast buffet is not always well stocked, in particular the bread seems to be sparse, no rusks, no toaster. The rest is correct, regional cheese by the cut, cold meats, butter by the cut, everything however deserves to be protected and refrigerated. The staff at the reception are not very friendly, not very attentive to customers, their noses constantly buried in the computer. On the other hand, helpful if you have a request. Likewise, the breakfast staff does not say hello spontaneously but is available if you need help. The terrace is appreciable. Which is very unpleasant: some ladies who clean the rooms enter without knocking first. Otherwise the cleaning is pretty well done. The presence of the Bistrot Régent is a plus in that there are no other places to eat nearby, however the menu is too limited for a long stay and the quality remains average apart from the famous sauce (salad poorly seasoned, undercooked fries...).

On our last trip to Brittany and Normandie, we visited the walled city of Besançon and stayed one night in this hotel. Large, clean rooms; very abundant and varied breakfast.
