We came as a family for Mother's Day on Sunday evening, May 31st. We received VIP treatment; we no longer needed to give our names, as we're now a regular and they know us. We ate very well, as usual: snails, roast beef, escalope, grilled salmon with aioli, and impeccable service from Laurent. A lovely little touch was a rose offered for Mother's Day; even my daughter (22 years old) received a rose, which we appreciated. You really pamper your customers! I love this restaurant!! The food, the atmosphere, the service... everything is perfect.
I've known it since I was a child, back when Paillette beer was still brewed just a stone's throw from the restaurant.
Some waiters and bartenders have left, but the service has remained impeccable. The menu has been slightly modified but is still enticing, with dishes that are just as delicious. I did feel a pang of disappointment, though, to see that the bavette steak with shallots was no longer on the menu...
The quality is consistently high, and the prices aren't exorbitant.
In short, Taverne Paillette remains a Le Havre institution. A must-try, and a place to return to again and again!!

Excellent restaurant, welcoming and friendly staff. We ate oysters, mussels, and salmon, all very good—fresh, high-quality fish. The desserts are also worth it. Excellent value for money.

Perfect, impossible to find better. The setting, the welcome, and the delicious food.
You arrive...you feel expected.
My husband has been a customer since 1956....but to say that frequenting Paillette is a guarantee of longevity.....

today is the second visit here as we are picking up a student after school is finished and as the first visit was greqt and the reviews is still great we trusted the known.
today (Monday and Pentecost) it was surpricingly quiet, just 80% full but still full speed. Service waz good, great attention, food was outstanding and visit was successfull.

I went there as I read many positive reviews in prior，the food was disappointed and I am wondering why the comments were highly recommended，maybe the time I went，the chef had a bad mood or typically you find tourists given high scores only because they have been there. I ordered squid with garlic，simple dish，nothing can be wrong，it is ok，even I can cook it at home…the skate was terrible，simple boiled and put on the andalous sauce，the sauce had fridge taste，the smeshed potato was with water taste，again，I can cook it at home and make it better. Good service and friendly staff！

We took the plateau Paillette for 2 persons, which has a fair price for an enormous quantity of sea food. The plateau is actually for 3-4 people. They were fresh (even if not all of the seafood was in the season). However i think there are better things worth trying at this location. The plateau was cold and the seafood just boiled, not seasoned in any way and not prepared in any way (not even the crab). This is a good set-up for huitres to be served on ice but i think the shrimps and vrab would’ve been better served warm. The service was good, very friendly helpful and polite. Atmosphere very nice, full of people.
