We stopped for a snack after visiting the Clos Lucé castle. Delicious mint and chocolate ice cream, and my husband lemon and strawberry, which he found very good. And the waiter gave a great recommendation about Leonardo da Vinci's white beer. What particularly annoyed me was the people in a hurry behind me who allowed themselves to make criticisms like, "Look at the three people in the kitchen laughing instead of serving even though they had finished their shift; it was obvious." Grr 😓 That's how you put young people off the restaurant business. Keep up the morale of the waiters and cooks. Keep up the courage!

You have to understand from the negative comments that there are people working in the kitchen and in service during heat waves. So before you complain, go to the kitchen in 45+ degree heat and you'll understand why the wait time is longer. Do non-stop service without a break with 50 tourists arriving in 5 minutes, and we'll talk about it. I came across a friendly person (Marion) who has to manage service, cash registers, and the sometimes unpleasant tourists, and some of whom must speak 15 languages... Good luck for the 2025 season.

26/09/2024: Conveniently located by the entrance of the castle, this restaurant is a good place for a quick bite before visiting the chateau. Crepes, both savory and sweet are tasty. Friendly staff.
15/09/2024: Somehow we almost always went to the same restaurant in Amboise, on the one hand because the waitress Alicia served us so kindly and courteously and on the other hand because we got an honest and good meal for a good price. We can also unreservedly recommend all products that are written in red. We probably didn't dare try the sausage, but the Gallette du Chef, the duck confit, the Caesar salad, the snails and the gallette with goat cheese and apples were very tasty. For dessert we had the crepe with chocolate, vanilla ice cream and cream. A crowning conclusion to every meal. The espresso was also excellent. But as I said: a big thank you to Alicia, who served us so nicely every evening and made us feel like we were welcome guests. Ella also always felt very comfortable here and always got a bowl of fresh water...
