The black cat sur Montpellier

A bar I highly recommend in Montpellier! From the food and service to the atmosphere, Black Cat has become one of my favorite bars in Montpellier. The terrace on a lovely square is truly delightful. The servers are efficient and cheerful. I come here regularly and I'm never disappointed. The value for money is always excellent, and I appreciate the atmosphere, the pool table, and the darts. The staff is very friendly!

Pauline is a lovely, cheerful, professional, and dedicated waitress. I highly recommend this bar; we had a wonderful time and enjoyed a glass of Chardonnay with our family.

The food looked nothing like what others have posted. A very nice waiter but the fish and chips was not good. The fish was cold. But I think it's probably great for a drink on the square on a sunny day rather than feed inside when it rains....

Correction: I've updated my review following a response from the establishment (it's true that I didn't leave a review the other times when it was positive; it's generally a very good place). As a regular at Black Cat, I was very disappointed today. We ordered a plate of cheddar fries for €6.50. The plate is usually very generous, the fries are homemade, and the melted cheddar is excellent! Today, I don't know what happened, but we received a tiny bowl of fries (floury) with a sort of salty roux; we could barely taste the cheese. The quality was truly mediocre, whereas it's usually exceptional. The infused hot chocolate, however, was excellent.

Thanks to the double toilets, which allowed my sweetheart and me to take another step towards building trust 😻
