The English Shop sur Chantilly

Thank you to Laura for her kindness and efficiency. We thoroughly enjoyed the freshly baked scones and teas. This break has rekindled our faith in the English Shop, a place we used to frequent but had found closed on previous visits (especially on the day of the Prix de Diane!).

Absolutely fantastic! We had brunch and fish and chips, and it was delicious; the food is homemade. For dessert, the brownie and cheesecake were divine.

I was doing trip from London to Europe, amazing breakfast and coffe, service was beautiful done b amazing girl and amazing chef i guess, i only i forgot to mention i like the eggs cook nice and soft, the place was amazing inside very traditional BT i just want to say thank you

The service was very, too slow. I got my coffee quickly, but our brunch arrived 30 minutes later, so we arrived outside our allotted time slot at the castle :( The atmosphere and decor are outdated! I don't recommend it.

A lovely experience; I arrived a few minutes before closing time with my daughter. The kind lady agreed to serve us. I will definitely return.

Superb English shop, you can find lots of things there and you can have tea with pastries. André

A fairly pleasant experience, but indifferent. The prepared tea was fine and I found the scones to be fair, but nothing stood out in particular. The decor inside feels a little lost and confusing, but carries some charm from English living. The cream that came with the scones was more like a cottage or clotted cream rather than a smooth cream as shown in other pictures. There was a case for other desserts to have with tea that included banana bread, brownies, a cheesecake and other cake. The service was pleasant and some local town folk stopped by to purchase some merchandise in the shop, but otherwise it wasn’t too loud or busy. Take note that hours are different than posted on Google.
