The Pale sur Tours

Discovered this pub by chance while driving around Tours. Very nice, lovely terrace overlooking a charming square with picturesque old houses. A very pretty, typically Irish bar. Enjoying a Guinness on tap reminded me of a wonderful trip to Connemara. Worth discovering (the bar, and Ireland...)

A very competent and welcoming barmaid, a good pub atmosphere.

Excellent pub on a fabulous street, which also invites you to discover many other establishments nearby. The pub is even better on match nights (despite the crowds), I highly recommend it!

Live sports on TV. Dartboard at the back. Irish barman was a big darts fan. Great selection of drinks. Different brands to what I'm used to in the UK. Nice place. Friendly service.

Wonderful food, wonderful desserts.

Air conditioned in this heat wave

Brilliant night for the Bayern v PSG 2nd leg. Here from the UK for a pool tournament and having been to the Pale before I recommended it to my team mates. 2 wheelchair users in the party but made to feel very welcome. Hopefully they'll be showing Hull City v Millwall on Fri.
