The Popote sur Tarare

We had lunch by chance at The Popote and the refined cuisine was full of flavor. The owner welcomes you warmly and without ever rushing you. We highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is a redemption for the town of Tarare. The tasting menu at €18.50 is simply incredible. Cuttlefish with vegetables, organic rump steak with endive and mustard cream, seed biscuit, poached pear, and Chantilly cream. Perfectly cooked, with spices expertly measured and blended. All these dishes are presented in appropriate containers. Organic wines are available by the glass. The establishment has plenty to offer: a cheese shop across the street, gourmet workshops, and a wine cellar. The chef is passionate and shares his knowledge. A truly wonderful place.

We discovered this little restaurant in the heart of Tarare during a business trip. The food was excellent: refined, sophisticated, balanced, flavorful, and all at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it.
