The Tea Caddy sur Paris

Great experience, Pleasant and quiet place, The selection of teas is magnificent!!!

We stopped in on our self guided tour of the Latin quarter for a mid afternoon snack and ordered tea and the apple pie. This was absolutely a delicious choice with a light pie crust on top of sliced baked apples with raisins filling the bottom of the dish. Highly recommend.

Tea Caddy, a hidden gem in the heart of Paris, where England’s quaint charm comes alive 🇬🇧☕. A gift from the Rothschild family to a retiring governess, in 1928, this smallish wood-paneled haven is adorned with maps of England’s sundry counties. One of the rare tea rooms in Paris serving tea leaves instead of bags, and properly served on china, the Tea Caddy’s menu remains a nostalgic reminder of a bygone era. With 20 or so different types of tea and home-made cakes the Tea Caddy has preserved its traditional essence. And during warm weather it truly is a delight to have an afternoon tea party with a view of Notre Dame The only thing I would recommend for improvement would be the service. I understand they deal with a lot of customers but it would make the experience so much better if they were more welcoming.

Je suis venue dans ce salon de thé il y a plus de 20 ans je me souvenais d’une ambiance très anglaise. En rentrant j’ai cru que je m’étais trompée de lieu. C’est en lisant les commentaires que je découvre que la direction n’est plus anglaise. C’est dommage cela a perdu de son charme même si la vaisselle anglaise est restée. Les scones étaient bons mais effectivement très petits. Le charme est parti c’est très très dommage surtout avec les nappes en papier.
