Top & Spicy sur Paris

I absolutely loved this restaurant! Open all day Sunday (that's wonderful!!), the service was top-notch and incredibly kind. If you were working there on July 19, 2026, thank you so much, you were so lovely! Delicious dishes, including vegetarian options. The homemade iced tea was amazing too. I'll definitely be back!

Amazing experience tonight for my son's birthday!! I'd seen several videos of the restaurant on YouTube, and my son and I are big fans of chili peppers. We received a wonderfully warm welcome and were attentive throughout the meal; it's rare these days to have such dedicated servers (especially at the end of this heatwave when temperatures are still high). And what can I say about the most important thing, the food! We ordered the Mala Xiangguo, a level 3 out of 5 on the chili scale, and I was incredibly surprised by the flavor of the dish, which I've never tasted before in Asian cuisine, even though I'm a big fan. Yes, it's spicy, but it was just right for us, and the dish was easy to eat (though we did break out in a sweat 🤣). The sides (cucumber, pickles) and the chicken hide-and-seek were just as delicious, with flavors we'd never encountered before. A huge congratulations to the two chefs, who also put on a show (the hot dishes too 🤣, hats off to them!) with their flaming woks! We will be back and will definitely recommend you! Thanks again for this wonderful evening, which will remain etched in my son's memory!

I discovered this restaurant in Paris one evening with a friend. We were served by Manale, who was lovely and attentive. She gave us excellent recommendations regarding our dishes and our dietary restrictions. The chicken hide-and-seek (level 3) was spicy, but absolutely delicious, and the baby cucumbers were wonderful. The service was quick, and I would say this restaurant is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Paris that I tried during my vacation. I highly recommend this place; the atmosphere is really lovely!

The food is fragrant and very varied, and the neighborhood atmosphere is great, especially this time of year. The prices might seem a little high, but that's due to the quality of the ingredients. Go for it! 🍜

Mala Boom was an excellent discovery. The staff is extremely welcoming and I had a superb meal. The steamed ravioli with chili and shallot were delicious. For my main course, I opted for the level 4 pork belly mala, just to be on the safe side for my first try. Being used to very, very spicy food, it went down very well; no regrets either that day or the next (you know what I mean). Beyond the intense spiciness, what I remember most is the incredibly fragrant cuisine (coriander, star anise, Sichuan pepper, etc.) with a wealth of flavors and a variety of tastes. The small cream and crumble at the end of the meal added a touch of sweetness, freshness, and a light coating on the palate—perfect for concluding such spicy dishes. Regarding the prices, I don't necessarily agree with some of the comments: €22.50 near République/Oberkampf for a starter, main course, and dessert isn't unreasonable, especially considering the quality. I'll definitely be back, next time I'll try level 5 even if I regret it 👍😅

Delicious food! Our waitress was sooo nice, and very active with the service. They do give you the option of selecting the spice level so choose widely! Level 3 and 4 really are very spicy. 100% would recommend.
