U Castille sur Bonifacio

We took the 27€ menu as it sounded good but that was a mistake. The mozarella was industrial type mozarella so no taste, the saint pierre fish overcooked and the safran based sauce really not thought through. The chatagne cake was excellent and so was the atmosphere and service. Sorry I couldn't give a better quote as I'm normally quite happy fast but I understand that at 27€ it's hard to offer decent quality.

We ordered a wild boar truffle parmentier and a seared tuna: both dishes were delicious. Even the warm chestnut cake with whipped cream and crème anglaise was exquisite. Friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

We LOVED our dinner at U Castillé!!! Having the opportunity to dine on the tiny terrace overlooking the cliff was a huge privilege! And we enjoyed every minute... The quality of the food and wine was exceptional! A big thank you for your hospitality! We will be back!!! Céline & Olivier

Good restaurant; I managed to reserve the only table facing the sea, it's just a shame the barrier is a bit too visible. We had the set menu, which was very good for €26: fish soup, pollack fillet, and chestnut tart. Of course, the service is typically Corsican—not very friendly.

Excellent meal, breathtaking view from the balcony overlooking the cliffs. Intimate and very pleasant setting. The only slight drawback was that a group arrived as we were finishing our dinner and was rather noisy. Otherwise, nothing to complain about, everything was perfect.

After reading so many negative reviews recently, I'd like to correct my own. There are several rooms available, and you should definitely choose the one with a view of the chalk cliffs. My young companions didn't speak French, so they could only point to the dishes. As usual, this wasn't met with arrogance, but with a smile. The food was very good and much more original than sea bream fillet, hamburgers, or moules frites. It's not Michelin-starred, but the prices aren't either. The view: 10 out of 5... :) We would love to eat there again, ideally just the two of us on the balcony before sunset. It's only for two people.

A beautiful, ideally located, and unique establishment with its numerous rooms scattered around the grounds. We had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed the food (the fish soup and wild boar were excellent). The only slight drawback was the staff, the waiters who constantly asked people in the street, with varying degrees of tact, to move aside, running with their dishes (the street is steep and crowded with tourists). They made two mistakes taking our order, even though it wasn't busy. When it came time to pay the bill (the service was rather slow, 40 minutes between the main course and dessert), I went directly to the counter to pay: "You shouldn't come here, you should wait outside!"... This is exactly where we should have stayed from the start, away from this establishment... Perhaps it was just an off day for the staff... It's a shame, the food was good and the setting pleasant, but the experience was somewhat marred by the staff.

Excellent restaurant in a lovely setting. The lamb shank and lasagna are delicious.
