08/07/2026: We had an average experience overall. The food was relatively decent (around 3.9/5), but unfortunately the service really let the restaurant down (2/5). As English-speaking visitors, we didn’t feel particularly welcome. When I politely asked whether the menu was available in English, an older member of staff replied, “Of course it’s only in French. Why are you even asking?” It came across as dismissive rather than helpful. We also asked if there were any fresh vegetables or a side salad available and were told there wasn’t. However, we later noticed other tables being served salads, which was confusing. Throughout the meal, there was very little hospitality—no smiles, no warmth, and no effort to make guests feel comfortable. While the food itself was good enough, the overall atmosphere was unwelcoming. If you’re very hungry and need somewhere convenient to eat, the restaurant will do. Otherwise, there are plenty of places where you’ll receive both good food and friendly service, which makes all the difference.

22/07/2026: After a first visit where we made a pleasant discovery, we returned again. The service is excellent, and customers aren't turned away when requesting a card change. :) Another big plus for the area is that parking is free. :)

21/07/2026: I parked in the restaurant's empty parking lot between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, as it doesn't open until 7:00 PM, and I had absolutely no idea I was causing any inconvenience. When I returned, I found a note on my windshield, and a man appeared and insulted me, calling me illiterate. After I tried to explain, he threatened me. Furthermore, it seems he has bought some of the street parking spaces, which are now blocked by flowerpots... (see photos) If the food is as good as the service, I do not recommend it. If the food and cleanliness are as bad as the parking lot, I do not recommend it (see photo). The restaurant is located in a rather seedy setting, directly across from some apartment buildings (see photos).

01/05/2026: A very warm welcome, a very extensive menu, and attentive owners and waiters. The food is excellent.

30/04/2026: Not everything on the menu suited my taste; the appetizers were just okay, but the main courses and desserts were delicious. The service was also friendly and professional, with very detailed explanations of each dish on the menu.

30/06/2026: We had a wonderful time at L’Albatros! The setting is magnificent, the food is delicious with high-quality ingredients, and each dish was as beautiful as it was tasty. A huge thank you to Laura for her professionalism, kindness, and smile. She took excellent care of us from beginning to end, always available, attentive, and offering great advice. Her warm welcome and exceptional service greatly contributed to making this experience even more enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be back!

29/06/2026: I was very disappointed by this experience. Fortunately, the servers were very kind, smiling, and did their best to provide good service despite the circumstances. However, the atmosphere was truly unpleasant. The owners constantly stood outside the restaurant, staring at the employees and monitoring their every move. This constant surveillance made the employees uncomfortable, and it showed. Finally, the owners handled the payments themselves, which didn't exactly encourage tipping, as there was no guarantee it would actually go to the servers who had provided the service. It's a real shame, because the staff deserved to be valued more than working in such an atmosphere.

23/06/2026: Nice location just by the marina. I had a quiet room (no view) at the back of restaurant. Fresh and modern interiors. Good kitchen at reasonable prices

14/07/2026: We came last year and just repeated the experience with just as much pleasure. A very nice concept with gourmet tapas with a strong Corsican influence! Impeccable and attentive service, in short, a great place and, moreover, very well located on the port of Bonifacio.

13/07/2026: The food was okay, the concept is quite fun, but not entirely coherent because the explanation was a bit too brief. The first tapas (eggplant croquettes) arrived lukewarm even before the aperitif. Plates were cleared while we were still chewing. Definitely not a date spot.

19/10/2025: Average! So YES, the location is amazing, but the food is average. The ceviche lacked marinade and pizzazz, the clam pasta was excellent, but the fish of the day pasta was very greasy... I won't even mention the frozen bread... it's a disgrace, there's no debate!

08/07/2026: Excellent lunch! The food was delicious and the value for money was excellent. A big thank you to the owner for his warm welcome, kindness, humor, and dedication. You can tell he puts his heart and soul into his restaurant. We highly recommend this place! (The locals from Île de Ré 😉)

07/07/2026: Friendly welcome, but the food was disappointing! A Bonifacian-style eggplant, cut in half lengthwise, served with nothing but a plain tomato sauce...€25. No children's menu or dishes; we were forced to order an adult pasta dish with three chicken nuggets...€17, and that was it. We won't be going back! And the beer was outrageously expensive...€8.50.
