05/06/2026: Really good food. Prepared with care. The owner is very friendly, has a sense of humor, and speaks multiple languages. Free parking right outside. Everything is homemade. The (pesticide-free) verbena tea with herbs from their own garden completed the experience. The restaurant is located just above the harbor of Bonifacio. Highly recommended!

08/07/2026: We had an average experience overall. The food was relatively decent (around 3.9/5), but unfortunately the service really let the restaurant down (2/5). As English-speaking visitors, we didn’t feel particularly welcome. When I politely asked whether the menu was available in English, an older member of staff replied, “Of course it’s only in French. Why are you even asking?” It came across as dismissive rather than helpful. We also asked if there were any fresh vegetables or a side salad available and were told there wasn’t. However, we later noticed other tables being served salads, which was confusing. Throughout the meal, there was very little hospitality—no smiles, no warmth, and no effort to make guests feel comfortable. While the food itself was good enough, the overall atmosphere was unwelcoming. If you’re very hungry and need somewhere convenient to eat, the restaurant will do. Otherwise, there are plenty of places where you’ll receive both good food and friendly service, which makes all the difference.

Everything was super excellent, fresh, homemade, and plentiful. Beautiful Corsican wine cellar. Thank you for our exchanges, your family's story... a restaurant where reservations are recommended.

30/06/2026: We had a wonderful time at L’Albatros! The setting is magnificent, the food is delicious with high-quality ingredients, and each dish was as beautiful as it was tasty. A huge thank you to Laura for her professionalism, kindness, and smile. She took excellent care of us from beginning to end, always available, attentive, and offering great advice. Her warm welcome and exceptional service greatly contributed to making this experience even more enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be back!

29/06/2026: I was very disappointed by this experience. Fortunately, the servers were very kind, smiling, and did their best to provide good service despite the circumstances. However, the atmosphere was truly unpleasant. The owners constantly stood outside the restaurant, staring at the employees and monitoring their every move. This constant surveillance made the employees uncomfortable, and it showed. Finally, the owners handled the payments themselves, which didn't exactly encourage tipping, as there was no guarantee it would actually go to the servers who had provided the service. It's a real shame, because the staff deserved to be valued more than working in such an atmosphere.

13/06/2026: When we're in the area, we love to eat at L'Escale. This restaurant is very well located, and the staff is very welcoming. Despite the constant pressure from customers who feel things aren't moving fast enough, the servers, who come from the back of the kitchen, practically run up. A special mention for Pape, who took such good care of us. Well done, and keep up the good work; we'll be back with pleasure.

01/07/2026: A really good restaurant, far from the tourist traps. Very reasonable prices. A pleasant terrace in the streets of Bonifacio. Go there! I advise you to book in advance during peak season.

19/10/2025: Average! So YES, the location is amazing, but the food is average. The ceviche lacked marinade and pizzazz, the clam pasta was excellent, but the fish of the day pasta was very greasy... I won't even mention the frozen bread... it's a disgrace, there's no debate!

06/06/2026: Excellent experience. Superb service with a smile and efficiency. Refined cuisine with a view of the harbor. It is a bit pricey, though.

05/06/2026: Overly fast service. The sharing platters looked interesting. The appetizers were excellent. The linguine contained practically no seafood for €35. No compensation was offered despite our comments. Very disappointing for a Michelin-starred restaurant. Beware.

01/05/2026: Small, well-located hotel with free parking. The owner and staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are perfect (spacious and recently renovated), and the restaurant offers generous portions of delicious, affordable food. I highly recommend this hotel.
