U Ricantu sur Calvi

On the recommendation of our hotel, everything was fantastic: the cocktails, the service, and the very friendly welcome from the owner! The dishes are fresh, and we loved the homemade aspect. Kudos for this commitment to quality, even down to the delicious bread. We had a wonderful evening during our short stay in Calvi, this beautiful place. We can't wait to return.

The owner isn't exactly friendly but he's polite - the team is nice and energetic - the food is excellent!!! Everything is good!!!

The staff were friendly, and the food, in my opinion, was very good. Special mention goes to the ceviche and the fried calamari! The cuisine is perfectly suited to Italian palates.

The setting is magnificent, the atmosphere authentic, and the products of high quality. We had read some comments about the owner's personality. For us, that's precisely what makes this place so charming. He has a strong personality, stays true to himself, and doesn't try to put on an act. This authenticity has become rare and is an integral part of the place's identity. If you're looking for a truly authentic Corsican experience, full of character, in a place unlike any other, don't miss it. We will definitely return on our next trip. You don't stumble upon U Ricantu by chance. This lovely beach bar is particularly enjoyable both for the food on the plate and for the warm welcome. It's a shame that some people complain, and it shows a complete lack of humor when dealing with an owner who, behind his sometimes unwelcome remarks, is a character with a strong personality and, above all, is extremely charming! It's a pity he can't comment on the behavior of some of his customers himself... because there's plenty to say about that too.
