un coin de vie sur La Douze

We went here for lunch today and it was a wonderful experience! I had the Perigeux Salad (what's not to like?!?) and my partner had the Demi Cuit Foie Gras (as he had had a late breakfast). We also had the Souffle Glace and ice cream, all washed with a carafe of house red. The menu du jour is what I'll try next time! We will be back!!

A small, very family-run restaurant. The manager is always very friendly and attentive. The meals are very good... good quality and quantity... reasonable prices... well worth a stop.

We stopped by without a reservation and received a very warm welcome. We enjoyed an excellent Périgord salad and a delicious apple puff pastry for dessert. An experience to be repeated. We came during the spring festival and it's clear that this restaurant is a vital part of the lifeblood of the small village of La Douze! The food is high quality, we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Arrived at La Douze on a Monday at noon. The first open restaurant I found. A complete meal: soup + charcuterie platter + short rib + profiteroles for dessert for 17 euros—you couldn't ask for better. The meal was very generous and the meat excellent. It's a shame the charcuterie platter only had 10 slices of rosette sausage, fewer slices of salami, but with a little terrine and a small slice of cured ham, it would have been perfect. Given the price, I can't complain. I enjoyed my meal and told everyone I did. Although the person who served me had lost their voice, their friendliness, good humor, and smile made for a very pleasant break. When it came time to pay, I received a second pleasant surprise: a glass of wine and a coffee were offered with the 17-euro menu. I highly recommend this place; I had a wonderful meal in a great atmosphere.
