Fantastic, excellent restaurant with a special mention for the burger!! The salmon gravlax poke bowl was also excellent. Fast and friendly service, and very affordable prices, so really great...we'll definitely be back.

Le Vieux Café is one of those rare places where time slows down in the best possible way. Tucked into the heart of an impossibly charming French village (Uzes) — the kind where the stone buildings have been standing for nearly 800 years — this café feels like a front‑row seat to the world.I could sit here for days, happily doing nothing but watching life drift by: locals chatting, travelers wandering, sunlight sliding across the plaza. The outdoor seating is perfect for settling in and letting Uzès work its quiet magic.The drinks only make it better. The wine and beer selection is excellent, with enough variety to keep you lingering longer than planned. I had a Chouffe and a Fada — both absolutely hit the spot and somehow made an already beautiful day feel even better.There’s something special about this place. It’s simple, it’s authentic, and it’s exactly what you hope to find when you wander into a small French village: a café that becomes a memory. A very good day indeed.

Good brasserie-style food, attentive, efficient and friendly service. Pleasant street-front terrace, so a bit noisy, but nice for watching the city go by.

Excellent welcome, wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, a very varied menu with flavors to suit all tastes. Excellent and very nice presentation

Unfortunately, we can't comment on the food, as we only had a few beers there. The service was friendly, at least from the male waiters; the young waitress still has some learning to do, but I'm sure she'll get there.

Excellent service and very fresh food. I arrived late at night in late March with a Mistral infused town and not many places open. Le Vieux Cafe (brasserie and bar) was humming with life, full of locals, families, expats, young and old for dinner, conviviality and really good food. I had the trout, and enjoyed the experience so much, I returned the next night. I sat next to a couple who ordered the steak dinner, which looked and smelled amazing, and on the other side a table of 10 locals ritually gathering for dinner, and on the other side, two tables full of children and families at ease in this local institution. By 7:30, there was a line out the door of French residents, clearly a favorite.
