Unfortunately, we can't comment on the food, as we only had a few beers there. The service was friendly, at least from the male waiters; the young waitress still has some learning to do, but I'm sure she'll get there.

Excellent service and very fresh food. I arrived late at night in late March with a Mistral infused town and not many places open. Le Vieux Cafe (brasserie and bar) was humming with life, full of locals, families, expats, young and old for dinner, conviviality and really good food. I had the trout, and enjoyed the experience so much, I returned the next night. I sat next to a couple who ordered the steak dinner, which looked and smelled amazing, and on the other side a table of 10 locals ritually gathering for dinner, and on the other side, two tables full of children and families at ease in this local institution. By 7:30, there was a line out the door of French residents, clearly a favorite.

Our first trip to this beautiful should I say city or town? Easy to get around with road in a circle with the many shops and restaurants arrayed on it and interior streets leading to the centre. We chose to try Le Vieux Cafe and were pleasantly surprised by our service and the charcuterie we ordered. We tried 2 red and 1 white and loved 2 out of 3. The platter was enough for 4 people and because I didn't think we could take anything home I ate way more than I normally would. The meats and cheeses were excellent and of course served with sliced baguette. We are staying a few kms away and will be coming back for to try so else. We have 4 stars for food because we didn't taste something else but what we had was 5 stars!! Muchas Gracias visitors from Mexico.

Pleasant and efficient service. This isn't the first time we've dined here, and it's always a pleasant experience.

Simple but really delicious meals.

A very welcoming restaurant, the servers are excellent (the little one a bit less so), the food is very good, a very nice menu, not forgetting the owners (François is much better).
