Wally's coffee sur Lille

Overall, we had a nice experience here and the food was so good, I would return if I am in Lille again. The brunch selections here were excellent. We enjoyed the oeuf à la turque and the avocado toast (which we were able to order without the feta for a dairy free option). Plenty of vegetarian options, but if you need vegan, you will need to ask the staff after you order. The coffees were good too, and they offer oat milk options. The staff speak some English which was very helpful when my French failed me. The only issue was the service - you order through an app and while our order was confirmed, it apparently wasn't transmitted to the kitchen and we waited over an hour. It was clearly a fluke with the technology (other patrons were receiving their food quickly). The staff were responsive with the issue; my only regret is I should've brought it to their attention earlier.

No service, you need to order food and pay using a QR code, quite pricey. Limited menu, dishes had good flavour - but all three dishes arrived lukewarm/cold. Poached eggs clearly pre made and stored, disappointing. There are much better places we found centrally with nicer dishes and bigger portions which actually arrive warm and with good service.

For a first, I am delighted. Very very nice atmosphere, a warm welcome by the owners and staff. An ideal place to work or enjoy in good company. The menu is original and suits all tastes. Very fast service, convenient ordering system. And for coffee lovers, you will be delighted. Top-notch home roasting. I highly recommend and I will be back very soon. Thank you for this discovery 🙂👍

Very good drinks and cookies, but service via paid app, very impersonal, I find that a shame

A bad buzz about Wally's at the initiative of its owner leads me to publish my opinion on the establishment. Indeed, complaining about the lack of support from consumers and his community regarding the delicate financial situation he is currently experiencing pushed him to feign the closure of the restaurant to stir up the crowds. Unfortunately, all comments displaying a protesting point of view with this approach have been deleted. Beyond this questionable censorship, let's get back to business: why I went to Wally's more than once and why I haven't gone back since. I knew Wallys in those early days, when the freakshakes were concocted simply, with few staff at an incomparable value for money. Since then, I tested the new loft on rue du Molinel and was ready to spend money on it despite the rise in prices, aware of the quality of the products used but also of the cost of this investment which had to be amortized. I really wanted to support this concept in the hands of a real success story, Wally. However, I quickly became disillusioned. Apart from the fact that the schedules changed more than once and I found myself at the door, my few visits were ruined by a service that was not a service. No warm welcome like before, a clear nonchalance with each order, a regrettable dehumanization (ordering using a QR code) and an ever-longer wait despite a half-empty place. So, I would really like to come back to rediscover the pleasure of the old Wally's, but for that it would be necessary for its owner to carefully probe his community instead of censoring it and to inquire about improving the quality of service, guarantee of unfailing loyalty.

Very nice place with tasty desserts and just wonderful coffee, it was hard to find a good cup of coffee in Lille, but we finally managed to find it here!! I definitely recommend it to everyone

Endroit sympa pour un brunch, il faut prendre en compte qu'il y aura un peu d'attente avant d'entrer mais dans notre cas ça a été plutôt rapide. Le local est très grand, décoré style un peu bobo, ce que je n'ai pas apprécié a été la lenteur du personnel pour être servis. J'avoue que c'était bondé mais il faudrait se réorganiser alors car nous avons attendu environ 40 minutes avant de manger, et il s'agit d'un pancake, pas certainement d'un canard laqué à la Pékinoise. Après nous avons apprécié la nourriture mais on aurait aimé qu'il arrivait tout ensemble, pas le jus au début, le cappuccino après et la nourriture pour conclure. En synthèse, il y a du potentiel mais l'organisation est à revoir. Nous avons payé 55.89 euros en deux, ce qui pour un brunch est plutôt conséquent mais les portions sont très abondantes.

Un brunch très copieux. Il est très bon mais très bourratif… Lieu chaleureux, décoration très sympas mais service à revoir.
