Weibel sur Aix-En-Provence

A place that's always bustling, no matter the time of day (from breakfast to late afternoon tea), it can be a bit noisy inside or out, but the quality of the sweet and savory pastries is well-deserved... it's a landmark in Aix-en-Provence and it lives up to its reputation for the quality of its pastries (Mont Blanc, fig, raspberry, filled crêpes for Candlemas, chocolate rochers, quiche Lorraine, apple turnovers, etc.). I wouldn't say it's a cozy place to spend two hours, but it's a great spot for breakfast or an afternoon snack... they have an excellent selection and generally very helpful staff, a very good selection of teas and hot and cold drinks as well (although the portions are sometimes a bit small for the price, depending on what you order). A top address that deserves its popularity!

A must-see spot, but the service was very disappointing… We came on a Friday afternoon; it wasn't crowded, but the servers were unfriendly and seemed exasperated and overwhelmed (for no apparent reason). We only ordered freshly squeezed orange juice… we had to fight to pay… in short, really not a very good experience…

The staff were welcoming and friendly! The filled crepes were delicious and light! And the matcha was very good! 😁✨

The wait was long, but the crepes were excellent (one lemon, one vanilla, and one praline)! They were generously filled and delicious. The prices are just a bit high (especially if you want to eat in).

Excellent pastries and viennoiseries, especially the cream-filled brioches. And above all, their filled crêpes for Candlemas—you never miss them.

We had some really delicious filled crepes! Depending on the flavor, some might seem more generous than others, but we thoroughly enjoyed them. We also bought some pastries to eat in. I found them tasty, though a bit pricey when eaten there. One small negative point: I unfortunately found a hair in my pastry. I went to explain it at the register, and despite the crowd, the cashier was very professional. Even though it was the last one, he managed to find me another, which was really appreciated. The service was a bit overwhelmed due to the high volume of customers, but the staff remained friendly. A good place, especially for crepes, with a minor incident handled very well by the staff.

I've never tried savory food there, but the pastries are incredible! 😀

Came to Axe while visiting on a cruise to see the French market on a Saturday. After reading online for the best cafè in Axe, people recommend this place. I had the smoothest and best Espresso I ever had. I got a few pastries but everything looked so good, it was hard to choose. Everytime I go to Axe, I will always come back here. It was my first time in France, after reading some reviews I can see where people may have had a bad experience with service. To me the server seemed cold but I have heard in the United States we make alot of small talk where other countries don't so I didn't take it to heart. The women behind the pastry case when we walked in greeted us and was very nice. She said you usually order at the table but you can choose from the case here if its easier and we can bring it to you, so I did. This cafè made my trip to Axe amazing, I wish I could live above it and come down everyday for breakfast.
